<p>well, if you're using Ares, the you probably should use Rakia. </p><p>try read volume 8, if you didnt already. </p><p>anyway, there are no parental relationship between gods in danmachi, so gods and goddeses can be considered parent or siblings to each other. </p>

<p>ohh fair enough, ive not read any of the light novel yet (somehow only just realised its on here, thank!) =[ so i dont actually have knowledge of anything thats not in the anime other than the stuff that i have read on here, i was making it a new familia and just picked Ares as the god as i didnt know he was already such a big player in the world, depending how long the game goes on for it may have ended up something like a private military familia but it is going to be based in orario and with a focus on the dungeon. im doing a story somewhat similar to bell i guess but its going to be with multiple people rather than just one. </p><p>but yeah, its based in the world but Ares was going to be a relatively new god, he will have found one person,a Renard who i will play as but he wont talk or do too much since im the DM.  </p><p>So its basically Hestia but not hestia i guess because i didnt want to use a main character from the anime. although i may change it to a different god now i know about rakia so that i could have an event where they invade orario or something. </p><p>ill have a look for a god who not already in the story =]  </p>

<p>the anime only talks about teh story from 5 first volumes of the light novel, and they did rush and skip many contents to put so many volumes in only13 episodes. </p><p>there is also the sword oratoria serie that's already has its own anime currently airing. </p><p>for now there are 8 volume released in english and 12 japanese for"danmachi familia myth" </p><p>2english and 8 japanese for "danmachi sword oratoria" </p>

<p>yeah, watched the anime like 4-5 times, watching the sword oratoria, next episode just got put on the website i watch on yay, im starting to read the synopsis on here for the LN cuz i cant afford it and cant find it free anywhere =/ if you know somewhere i'de love to know! </p>

<p>Hi LPXM, good luck in your project, I strongly recommend read the light novel, buy it it's a way, borrow it from a friend is other, the others aren't legal and I don't give you a hint, is better support the original work, but a ebook versión is cheaper than a printed one. </p><p>My advices for you: </p><p>-read all you can (danmachi, sword oratoria, family chronicles, sides stories, specials...)
-Try to avoid all "friction" with the original work, this things don't end very well
-The author used gods of norse, greek/roman, egyptian, mesopotamian, irish, hindu, japanise, but (for now) he don't use gods from mayan, aztec, incan, persian, (and maybe others, but I don't know others cultures that have gods and no spirits), using one of this, put your work far from the original.
-if you work go slowly, don't care, all the starts are dificult, and is better a good work than a fast one
-be constant
-be patien and never lose your ilusion in the work </p><p>if you say more about you want to do (like if the game it's from the point of view of a god or an adventurer, a incipient familia or a existing one, and more things) we can try to say less general things </p>

<p>Out of curiosity, why not base your RPG on the official storyline? </p>

<p>Good question my friend, and I have two answers for you:
the short one: for experience
the long one: it isn't the same if you make the game only for your friends than for a public like internet (s/he said is thinking in putting the game online ), when you do something to yours comrade, all is fine, but in the net... no, this can bring you a lot of complains, about if that isn't canon, if in the original work had that hability or what you can't do some thing that in the original did, if this or that character was diferent, and never care about if you make the game after or before the facts they are tallking about, or if doing that actión break the rules, if you keep away of the original work, you avoid all this complains and more, and few times are complaints about the original work isn't present, there are fans that are a really pain in the ass when the thing don't go/are like they want, but all that I said are only advices,  LPXM  have to do what  LPXM want to do, it's her/him game, work and time </p><p>and yes, in the past worked in this type of things (not for a companie, but friends), almost I only wrote scripts for quests, but collaborate in rules creation, sistem of play and weapons, if you like it is funny to do, but when you only have complaints for alll sides, you only want to kick it. </p><p>one last advice: work in team if you want to do some big </p>

<p>I would buy the books but I have literally no money (no joke literally Zero) and no one I know has the books. </p><p>Im currently reading through the synopsis for the LN on here. I dont want to base it on the actual story line as I just want it to be another story in the world and also there is going to be about 3-4 people playing so a single character story line is no good; Its not going to be at the same time that bell's story is playing out either. </p><p>Everything else im basing as closely as possible to what is in the LN and anime, im scrubbing through the anime to map out area's, other than the dungeon because that would be a pain, im just doing that relatively randomly other than ones i can map out accurately like the 24th dungeon as a map was shown in the lastest episode of sword of oratoria. </p><p>I was going to put up main things like, character sheet template, maps, the dice system i've been working on for it; and lists of things like items, monsters, people, random events (for things happening in the dungeon like monsters roaming to different floors and other unfortunate events that happen in a dungeon), skills, abilities ect, all with things like health, dmg and what not so that people can have the bare bones for a game and write their own story, or ill upload the story im doing aswell with minor changes (depending how it goes with my group) so people can just kind of jump in, create a character, choose a god and start their adventure. </p><p>I was only thinking of putting it up becuase i googled around and couldn't find a premade one but saw quite a few things of people asking, so thought it could be a good start, it might not be great but if other people find it they're free to tweek things to fix any errors i may have made or balance the game a little better. obviously with things like development abilities, skills and magic, not all are known so i will have to make up some of these to suit the characters that my group play and i imagine more people would have to add to that list if they played it. </p><p><span style="font-weight:normal;">It's going to be played as adventurers, and an </span><span style="font-weight:normal;">incipient familia that has only 1 member who joined a little whiles prior to the new people (only because i wanna enjoy the world a bit) the god/goddess has only come down from heaven recently.</span> </p><p><span style="font-weight:normal;">I think that about answers everything?</span> </p>
