<p>Good question my friend, and I have two answers for you:
the short one: for experience
the long one: it isn't the same if you make the game only for your friends than for a public like internet (s/he said is thinking in putting the game online ), when you do something to yours comrade, all is fine, but in the net... no, this can bring you a lot of complains, about if that isn't canon, if in the original work had that hability or what you can't do some thing that in the original did, if this or that character was diferent, and never care about if you make the game after or before the facts they are tallking about, or if doing that actión break the rules, if you keep away of the original work, you avoid all this complains and more, and few times are complaints about the original work isn't present, there are fans that are a really pain in the ass when the thing don't go/are like they want, but all that I said are only advices, LPXM have to do what LPXM want to do, it's her/him game, work and time
</p><p>and yes, in the past worked in this type of things (not for a companie, but friends), almost I only wrote scripts for quests, but collaborate in rules creation, sistem of play and weapons, if you like it is funny to do, but when you only have complaints for alll sides, you only want to kick it.
