I´m wondering if the godness Loki is actually a male dressed as a female god. "She" is very flat breasted and allways after her female children. In northern mythology where the god Loki comes from it´s allways a male. Maybe this doesn´t have to mean anything, since Hephaistos was an acient greek male god, too (married to Aphrodite greek godness of love and beauty). But Loki is the trickser, too.

@A Fandom user - Please do not mix up the myth and the story. The author only borrows the name of god/ goddess in the old civilisations. Anything else are used as a reference and definitely not the same as the old gods worshipped.

well actually Loki in the norse mythology has the ability to change its gender between male and female.
but like it was mentioned above, dont focus too much in the myth relevance in danmachi, it's just what the author wants it to be. so danmachi universe Loki is just a flat chested godess.

I do think you are right about the gods name are only referance, as for the appolo story and this children cassandra and dafni story are much like in the myths also other gods are filling the roles and stories like the myths. I do think loki is a male with a female costume

The author definitely used some creative liberty in changing the genders of famous gods and goddesses, as well as their personalities and actions. I don't think we're meant to look too much into the mythology of it. The gods came down to the lower world for entertainment purposes, perhaps they were given the choice of coming down as a male or female or perhaps in this universe they were always the genders that they are now.
