Odin is mentioned in SO6 so that isn't possible

<p>Is me i got a feeling thet black dragon Is Crimson Fatalis from monster hunter 2 </p><p>(Crimson Fatalis is final boss of monster hunter 2.it a fatalis actually got repellent by hunter (mh version of adventurer) travel to inglo Isle (volcanic reigen) to out is anger issues (for anger issues I mean blowing up every single volcano leaving everything to Ash and magmaonly life in inglo Isle high elder dragon and non elder dragon monster and other black dragon like Alatreon).Crimson Fatalis known to planing and plotting for there revenge on the hunter party (mh version on familia) that once repellent him from the first place </p><p>That just my theory (It be cool if monster hunter crossover danmachi) </p>

<p>Most likely the black dragon was much stronger than the bahamut or leviathan, because it had absorbed Aria and eaten other monsters and maybe other spirits. We know this is possible. So the family of Zeus and Hera underestimated the power of the dragon. But I still didn't understand how Zald and Alfia survived the battle with the dragons. They were supposed to be already weak. Why level 9 did not survive. Who can survive a direct hit. I expected the two to be weak. But not from the fight with leviathan and bahamut. I expect the black dragon hits and weaken the other two. </p><p>Well, the stupid author was wrong again. Big stupid ? </p>

<p>Im pretty sure Zald didn't even fight the dragon. Alfia was a mage so it makes sense she would have kept her distance, but you could kind of naturally assume she wasn't the only mage in the battle and the rest most likely died. I guess you could just say she was lucky or her familia members may have been more protective of her because of her illness so it led her to be spared maybe. No idea unless the author reveals it eventually. </p>

<p>They did what they did because of seeing how hopeless they were against the OEBD so Zald was there. Alfia was part of the vanguard so she wouldn't had been safer than the rest. </p><p>They just were lucky to survive. </p>

<p>Alfia was a magician. But he also knew how to fight with weapons. That proved it. Alfia is not like Riveria. Only the magician and that's it. He was a warrior with a weapon or magic.   In her case, author can say that her sister saved her with her own body. Collecting the dragon's flame directly. Protecting Alfia. The same goes for Zald's protection from his comrades. It would still cheap. </p>

<p>I'm pretty sure Fin said in the 2nd event that no one has seen Zald since the battle against behemoth. Even if he wasn't there he would still know what it was like from Alfia, Zues, Hera and so on. </p>

<p>Maybe Alfia was very similar to Ryu in terms of style of fighting, only her magic was significantly stronger. Or if not Ryu then maybe Filvis would be a better comparison? </p>

<p>A slight change of topics: instead of raising theories about the nature/identity of the Black Dragon, I would like to instead discuss what sort of role it will ultimately have in this story. I mean, back when it was first mentioned, I was all but certain that it would be the final boss. But now that we know about the existence of "something" in the bottomost floor of the dungeon, that doesn't seem so likely anymore. </p><p>What do you guys think? </p>

Yeah that's still up in the air. If the OEBD is a level 10 monster then Bell can probably take it as a level 8 given his extra stats and a level boost from Haruhime. I kinda want the OEBD to not be the final boss since it's been way too buffed.
