<p>Bell says the one eyed black dragon is like a god foreshadowing something like that might come into play
Black monsters have a trend to be created by gods coming into the dungeon
Perhaps, The oebd absorbed a god and that is why it is so powerful
Athena and Enyo are probably the first goddesses to venture into the dungeon. They used arcanum causing the dungeon to produce the black dragon. Which absorbed Athena. Enyo Longs to be free like the one eyed black dragon causing this reoccurrence.

<p>I'm pretty sure Fin said in the 2nd event that no one has seen Zald since the battle against behemoth. Even if he wasn't there he would still know what it was like from Alfia, Zues, Hera and so on.

<p>Maybe Alfia was very similar to Ryu in terms of style of fighting, only her magic was significantly stronger. Or if not Ryu then maybe Filvis would be a better comparison?

<p>A slight change of topics: instead of raising theories about the nature/identity of the Black Dragon, I would like to instead discuss what sort of role it will ultimately have in this story. I mean, back when it was first mentioned, I was all but certain that it would be the final boss. But now that we know about the existence of "something" in the bottomost floor of the dungeon, that doesn't seem so likely anymore.

Yeah that's still up in the air. If the OEBD is a level 10 monster then Bell can probably take it as a level 8 given his extra stats and a level boost from Haruhime. I kinda want the OEBD to not be the final boss since it's been way too buffed.

Considering what has been said the OEBD is still gonna be the final boss while the Dungeon will be cleared before as a way for Bell to grow as much as he needs to before the final fight.

<p>Hopefully Bell should get some magic soon since he is blood related to the gifted Alfia. OEBD most likely will be flying, spraying flames, using spirited magic, and scooping adventures up like a hawk. Unlikely any adventures can defeat a dragon just being on ground with a sword.

Bell had only one magic slot and it is already filled with Firebolt. And being related to someone talented means nothing.
