<p>And here I was, hoping for something juicy to chomp into. </p>

<p>Other than this series (DM, SO, and FC) I've never bought or read another light novel or manga so I'm not very familiar with how the U.S. releases are handled, by which I mean things like translations, print runs, etc... </p><p>So, I was wondering with all of Yen Press's prior commitments to their venders (Amazon, RightStuf, Barnes & Noble, etc...) and the number of copies Amazon has sold through pre-orders is there any chance that Yen Press has run out of the first printing and now Amazon and others have to wait for a second printing to be allotted more? </p>

<p>The release wasn't until August and that wouldn't be a reason to postpone the digital release. Most likely it is because of the length of the LN or translator troubles. Volume 11 was postponed for a couple month too and that was when the translators seem to have changed. </p><p>Unfortunately they never seem to give any updates to the public about these things. </p>

<p>I keep forgetting that print media is often released digitally as well now a days so I never even thought of looking for that release date. That was a very good point, thank you sir. </p>

I had the same problem until I decided to learn Japanese just to read this book.

<p>Amazon now lists the date as December, but Yen Press still lists it as October </p>

Yen press is terrible about updating their site so it is probably the Amazon date.

The cynical part of me can't help but notice that releases always slow down the closer a series gets to catching up with Japan.
