<p>Its kind of the norm nowadays, for most anime watchers and fans of the series, to over-analyze everything and nitpick whats in a scene in a anime. </p>

You can’t expect everything to be in an adaptation of a book. </p><p>Compared to over animes I have seen that I read the light novels of they took there time and put a lot of detail into the art and setting, which a lot of light novel adaptations skip right through just to cram as much into an episode as possible making it feel rushed and plain even if almost the entire book was animated. </p><p>I like this approach a lot more. </p><p>The only thing I would of liked if they did was make the bar fight just a tiny bit longer. Bell was very weak in book as well the anime, but there was a bit more of an actual fight in the book. </p><p>They really only took out like one scene. People can’t be satisfied. </p>

<p>For the bar fight, the animation team went too far with the beating Welf and Bell received. </p><p><i>"The man grabs hold of Welf's outstretched hand just before it makes contact with another adventures face, pulls it back with one hand, and flips him on his back."</i> </p><p>The manga got this one perfectly, the anime not so much. </p><p><i>""I throw punch after punch, but he keeps dodging by the slimmest of margins——I catch a glimpse of his pompous smirk between my fists.</i> </p><p>Suddenly his body becomes a blur. Just like that, my punches hit nothing but open air. </p><p>"——" </p><p>I'm very confident in my speed and agility, but it feels like he's trying to show me up. He's laughing at me. </p><p>I finally get him squared in my sights and lunge forward, only to feel sudden intense pain just below my chest. My eyes fly open in pain and I realized that he's buried his knee in my gut. </p><p>He grabs my airborne body by my shoulder and forces my head up. </p><p>His incoming fist fills my vision like an incoming boulder. Stars explode in front of my eyes. </p><p>"Mr.Bell?!" </p><p>I fly backward."" </p><p>Neither the anime not the manga got that one right. </p><p>One did too much, while the other not enough. </p><p>As Hyacinthus himself said, it was just a love tap, and not a massacre. </p><p>Also, they messed-up the part with Bete, who pulled Bell to his feet with rage in his eyes, rather than a hint of concern in his voice. </p><p>As for the dance, it is not the scene itself, but rather Bell's coaching that was a little disappointing. </p><p>Hermes is much smoother in the light novel and manga, and casually told Bell to take his place after being so over-the-top. </p><p>He went from theatrical to dismissive in exactly 0.1 second. </p><p>Miach and Takemikazuchi are also smooth operators. </p><p>Miach and Naaza got close to Ais and Bell to very subtly show them how to invite a potential partner to dance, only turning around to grin at them after the fact. </p><p>Takemikazuchi, while dancing with Mikoto, got back-to-back with Bell, and whispered a few tips in his ear. </p><p>All in all, Bell's coaching in the light novel and manga was relatively covert, making Bell shine all the brighter. </p>

<p>Alright at this point its starting to get annoying when you want the anime to add every single detail to the scenes you didnt like. Im sure this has already said multiple times but I’ll say it anyway why are you focusing on all the little details. Sure they didnt get it excatly how it was written. So? Its not like they completely changed the scene either and to be honest I could understand the comments about the exclusion of the Grand Quest and stuff like that but going so far over one minor scene in the book about how Bell was supposed to be beaten up or how the dance was supposed to be shown diffrently is just being way too nitpicky especially considering this is an anime and not a LN where those details can be put in. </p>

<p>It's one thing to be nitpicky but it's the same to get triggered over people saying that. People are entitled to their own opinions, it just makes you look bad if you keep on biting to every comment like that </p>

I thought it was okay but like Doppelganger pointed out I was surprised at how the anime bloodied up Bell during the fight. I still think they could've added the OEBD thing in and at least draw Hephaestus instead of axing her out of the scene. What we got instead was gratuitous fanservice like Hestia breast shots

<p>I kinda forgot the bar fight was not that bloody until you guys brought it up. I assume the animators wanted a more visual representation of how strong Hyacinthus was. </p><p>As for the Bete thing Doppleganger mentioned, I did notice that. I wonder if it's because Bete's character is more fleshed out in the LN now than he was when that scene was written? </p>
