Definitely in agreement there. The entire hook of the Danmachi setting is the whole Falna and Dungeon schtick - which only exists in Orario. The fact that Rakia (a highly militarized kingdom) got punked so hard by adventuers who weren't even trying just shows how irrelevant everything 'outside' is. Sure Omori can explore those places; but without the Dungeon and Falna (everyone outside is 2 or 3 at best), it'd just be generic fantasy #13.

Considering it's been a thousand years since Orario was built. There's likely no one alive (aside from the gods or a very long lived Elf) who still remembers the time monsters freely roamed the world. Orario's current reputation is one of wealth, culture, and all that jazz as it's the only source of magic stones after all. Imagine Saudi Arabia except the size of a city, and the SOLE exporter of oil in the entire world.

But anyway I'm going on a tangent. I was defining "hero stuff" as "things done for the good of the many with no motive for recompense". Which isn't what adventurers are at all. Yet Omori keeps hamering the whole "HERO, HERO". Even Bell's reason for going to Orario was selfish. Not gaining wealth and power so he can return to his village and punk every single monster out there. Nope he goes to Orario to be a hero and pick up girls.

Actually, Finn and the rest of the Loki Familia's levels are widely known in the world.

They're known for no other reason that Omori wanted them to be known. Despite the fact that they stay in one city, don't perform heroic deeds outside of said city, and there is no form of mass communication in the setting. Other than the divine mirrors which need special permission.

My point was to the average joe, who is likely not to regularly interact with any god nor see
or hear the feats of a high level adventurers (it's not like adventurers have after fight interviews and replays) , and exacerbated by the fact that both of those things (gods and adventurers) existing almost exclusively in Orario, can neither appreciate nor care about arbitrary numbers (i.e. levels). Hence Finn's method does not make sense.

In short: There is and can only ever be Orario.

While I'm at it might as well include one major gripe with the setting I forgot:

4) Magic - Despite magic being so prominent in the setting, DanMachi has one of the laziest systems I've ever read. Can't learn spells like one woud learn a skill. Either born with it, Falna gifts it, read a grimoire, or hope Omori is feeling generous. Oh and only THREE spells MAX. Making Riveria and Lefiya, super super special snowflakes. They're literally the "Bell Cranel" of mages.

5) You're special, you get to be special, EVERYONE's special - Every Single Thing in this setting. Lily get unique illusion magic, gets a Commander skill (for no reason). Welf the best magic sword smith in the entire world. Haruhime with the +1 (and read a 200 million grimoire because why not?). Practially the entire Loki Familia. And I'm not going to include Bell.

Everyone is special, everyone is unique, no one goes through proper arcs to gain power or test their convictions. Nope, Omori just hand waves everything, goes "you get a unique skill, you get a unique spell, you get a unique item, EVERYONE GETS SOMETHING UNIQUE", and calls it "character development".
