I find it interesting that Ryu's goddess has not returned to the heavens but is also not in Orario any more. This makes me wonder what exactly she is up to and how she has managed to survive to this point in the outside world.

I have a strange feeling that she is going around sprouting the idea of justice all over the world and that she might have started to rebuild her familia. However, I also think that because of what happened to her familia in the past she is afraid of returning to the city.

Being in the city might just be something that she finds too painful after what happened to her familia. Unfortunately, that leaves Ryu is a bad spot as she can neither increase her status or change to a different familia.

Well given that the famous Gale Wind is "dead" and that Astraea can still feel the blessing she bestowed upon Ryuu, we might see her coming back into Orario soon. Maybe Astraea believe Ryuu has finally moved on or what-not given that the 'persona' of Gale Wind is gone.

Ryuu's been communicating with Astraea already so she wouldn't be surprised that Ryuu is still alive or anything

Excuse me but where is that said? I do not remember reading it in the novels but I could have just forgotten it.

its in "EPISODE RYUU" vol.

also as for astrea familia, knowing that the goddess is a god of justice and such, i highly doubt she would remain passive, i think she's been recruiting people and gather power to come back to orario and cleanse ryuu's name .

It's at the end of chapter two in the second story of FCER. The passage being referred to says Ryuu decided to write a letter addressed to Astraea but it also says "If this ever gets delivered," (Yen Press English print release). To me this doesn't indicate them keeping in contact at all and instead suggests Ryuu has no idea where to even send such a letter.

That makes it sound like wishful thinking on Ryuu's part. Now if she received a response back then that would be a direct story but a one-way conversation is not really much of a conversation.

Probably only Hermes knows what Astrea's been upto.
