I think most of us know that 12 episodes isn't enough to fully adapt the LN, but we can't do much about it.

Three episodes for LN 12, three or four for LN 13, and five or six episodes for LN 14. That is the best you are going to be able to hope for.

@Kevhunt06 That is actually surprising to hear considering some of the big and popular series that have been licensed by companies outside of Japan.

I would think that animation studios would want to put their best foot forward to draw more attention to the series that they make and possibly get them licensed overseas.

As such, I would think that the salary of an animator at a decently sized studio would be pretty good.

An animator in Japan makes the equivalent of about $10,000 in there twenty's. That is atrociously low compared to the cost of living. Every source I can find show the same general consensus on the subject.

Now that is just sad. Considering all the hard work they must put in to do their jobs, they should be paid much more than that at least $50,000/year. I think that they need a union or something to renegotiate their working conditions and pay.

Considering all the money that animation studios make off of not just the anime that they produce buy any merchandise that they sell, the animators should be entitled something better than what they are getting now.

3 Eps for volume 12 is really short tbh unless they cut something out of it. 1 episode would cover the level up and ends with them getting ready to go to the dungeon(the denatus!! i hope they wont skip it, its pretty funny), there were other events as well like Bell getting dragged into a river then meeting a mermaid then the fight as well and finally the epilogue. Just like in season 3, the longest book, which is volume 11 is only covered in 3 and a half episodes, so I don't think they will have a bias on which book has the most episodes. But I really want it to have more episodes, 14 would be the best tbh if they cant do more.

Most likely, Volume 12 will be adapted in 3 episodes.

Ep1: Start, Denatus, start of the expedition and a very big cut in the expedition to show directly at the end of this episode how they enter the 25th floor.

Ep2: Appearance of the moss, first confrontation, second confrontation and ends with Bell falling down the waterfall.

Ep3: Bell vs Iguazú (surely this scene does not last more than 50 seconds), the whole theme of Mary, Pass Parade and the last minutes will be the arrival of Bell and the final round vs the moss that will surely not last more than a minute with twenty seconds or something like that.

You realize a what cour is, right?

The Denatus is largely pointless and doesn't add much to the story, so realistically it can and should be mostly skipped and honestly it really isn't that funny. The little drinking party scene in the Dungeon the night before can and should be skipped entirely as it was dumb and actually hurt the story. An absolutely massive amount of the the page count goes into narrative and scene setting, things that are done visually in animation and don't take up much time since they are largely artistic background elements.

That's your opinion. I have mine as well.

It is definitely going to be 12 episodes without a doubt and its 99% likely going to cover the entire expedition arc of vol 12-14.

Vol 12 can be done in 3 episodes since it isn't really plot heavy and mostly just a volume to show Bell's growth.

Vol 13 is going to be 4 episodes and Vol 14 is 5 episodes.

The anime has always cut and rushed stuff, it is just focused on getting the essential story beats there.

The animation is going to be meh, J.C. staff animation for this series isn't even impressive apart from maybe one scene in each season.

I'm not as hateful about the anime as others but as long as I get to see some scenes from the novel come to life then it will be an "okay" anime.
