Hestia already told her Familia she doesn't want their help with it and she will pay it by herself. Not to say that Bell would be in no position to demand anyhing from them, at much that they didn't attack his Familia.

No no, I'm not talking about the church but the current home they live in. I imagine Freya destroying it to force Bell. The debt I'm talking about is about is Bell's guilt since if he joins Freya Familia that knife would be meaningless and powerless, Bell would use the opportunity to let his Familia start a new life without him pulling them down (because that debt really is bad for them)... Yeah of course Hestia doesn't want help but I think Bell would do it anyway for the sake of his familia cause they would suffer because of him even though he is no longer part of the familia.

And that is because Oomori is unwilling to do anything tragic in his story, even if it means breaking any logic, and separate Bell from his friends.

Everything has room to change, even the author so stop this nonsense close-mindedness. Also Bell experienced this type of situation but this time, its different, Bell will experience the same situation but againts stronger, more powerful people, I don't think he will be able to escape this.

In the first three he could had made the story have a dark tone and be tragic but backed up. Haruhime was a virngin, Wiene was revived and no one died against Amphisbaena.

And in the last two Oomori went competely against his magic system just to let his characters survive.

Hepheastus said it herself. Hesita is the one who is gonna pay her. She wouldn't accept that money as it was not gained by Hestia, less when Hestia herself refuse to accept it.

I'm open to the idea of change, but only when I see that that person is actually disposed to do it. Oomori makes things the same way and lacks variety. Just seeing at his newest story is enough to notice it(it is a copy paste of DanMachi in a lot of things)

You're right, I don't know the future, but I know Oomori and his ability as a writer. Sadly, it isn't encouraging.

The thing with people not being confident in Omori doing certain things is less pessimism and more following the trend of Omori's writing. You can hold on to hope, but people are remarking on how it is unlikely.

Nobody is giving you a fortune, they are trying to let you know about Omori's current style so you can expand your perspective to be restrained to more consistent areas.

I also thought I've seen people say that Omori intends for Bell to stay with Hestia Familia for the whole story. I think I've even replied to you with this before.

Actually, a question. Do you actually want input on how feasible you wishes are? Your title seems like a yes, but your replies seem like no.

I assume you're talking about the afterword and not the author's tweet, but where does it say that?

He's already experienced that situation against the Loki Familia, which he only "won" because the Loki Familia were less interested in him and more interested in Evilus

DanMachi's been getting "dark" or serious ever since volume 7, and that's not counting Sword Oratoria and Familia Chronicle which has plenty of that. If you're reading DanMachi for the "happy go lucky stories" then those aren't going to be as common anymore. DanMachi's been dark from the beginning anyway, with sending children into a dangerous dungeon, extortion, thievery, slavery (normal/sexual), morality, etc

Like Rqwe1 said, Rigel's view on things comes from precedents that the author has done with the story. Don't you think you're being the "close minded one" for refusing to acknowledge that and/or trying to find out why Rigel thinks that and disproving that instead of complaining? Right now you just come across as angry because you're not getting what you want to hear

It seems that this thread about a possible "bomb" in volume 17's story seems to have blown up (sorry, I could not help myself with that one). However, is it just me or has these thread seemed to veer off topic a little?

Anyway, maybe the supposed bomb is a twist which none of us would see coming given what the author has said in the past. He might have decided to do a complete 180 on some of his earlier ideas which means that anything may be fair game.

While that would catch all of us by surprise, it is not really a sign of good writing but at this point the author seems to have dug himself into a hole and does not know when to stop digging when it comes to the story.

The thing is, I've ready answered what the bomb is based on the Japanese afterword so this has pretty much become a "what will happen in volume 17" thread

Syr disguised as Freya, the reveal about Bell's parents or Aiz' parents is the only "bombs" I can think of but aren't really that interesting by this point. Unless the "bomb" part is intended to be aimed at the characters in the story rather than the readers.

I think everything that has been foreshadowed will be revealed or something, like Bell's grandpa, that cloak something that Freya gave to Loki (I doubt it because it was stated in the side story), What does it mean to be "Zeus's last gift"?, Hermes's relationship with Zeus, Is Hestia really Bell's first familia? Is Hestia hiding something? Why is Bell so special (Special skill, special luck)? Why is luck stated as "protection"? Ais's favor, Loki's involvement, Why bell is so relaxed even though a Goddess is watching him all the time? Why Bell doesn't talk about Freya? Why he just shrugged Freya's I love you during the haruhime arc? Oomori is known for this type of stuff (foreshadowing) so I would love to see some of the questions answered.
