They probably will spend 10 episodes on Vol 14 and the last episode will cover the aftermath scenes in Vol 15. This is my guess on the pacing.
Ep12-13: Ch 7
Ep14-15: Ch 8, and maybe some bits from Ch7 and Ch9
Ep16: Ch 9
Ep17: Ch 10-11
Ep18: Ch12
Ep19-21: Ch13 + Epilogue
Ep22: Vol 15 parts
I really can’t confirm this since I never did find the tweet but I remember seeing a couple people talking about the author confirming that Ais would be in season 4. So maybe the ending with volume 15 is what he was talking about? Im not a 100% sure though so I would just take it with a grain of salt.
I think the best way to end season 4 (if they plan on doing a season 5) is have Bell and Ais’ scene from volume 15, than have Bell go home and start looking into Albert Waldstein’s connection with Ais Wallenstein (showing Bell finally starting to piece the mystery around Ais together). Than have the knock on the door and Bell receiving the letter from Horn from Freya and that’s where it ends off.
It would make sense if it was set up like this but it really depends on if they plan on doing season 5 or not. I feel like the revenue is good enough for it and season 4 (so far) seems like a success with the fans for the most part. I know the arc isn’t finished yet so it will take a bit of time before they actually get the full material for season 5 so we will probably have a 3 year gap or longer.
Maybe SO season 2 in the mean time??? Lol you can only hope right?😅
Only now have realized that the new season is on the air right now... What can I say, graphic is as usual, maybe animation became a bit worst, but they totally fucked up Juggernaut, both appearance and fighting method - if I recall correctly, it was a rather small, compact monster that was killing everyone by constantly jumping from wall to wall, and what of these we see here? Nothing. They ruined suspense and action altogether IMHO
Anyone kind of think that the Juggernaut in the anime looks like its design was influenced by a Xenomorph from the Alien franchise?
@AbigailWilliams2020 I don’t know for sure, but I also haven’t been following all of the tweets revolving around the anime, so I guess it’s possible that was stated somewhere. Not sure sorry.
If I remember right it was actually before the start of the anime.
You are partially correct. The Juggernaut is actually indeed a big monster. It is one of the things that makes its speed the more astonishing.
So-called Ais' appearance might also be the brief flashback that Bell had during chapter 9 (or SS).
According to the novel description, the Juggernaut is about 3m tall and its tail is over 4m long. That measurement is pretty close to an Allosaurus -- pretty big, but not as big as the one shown in anime. The one in the anime looks even bigger than a T-rex, so big that I wonder how would the following iconic scenes make sense:
Bell repelling its claws via Hestia Knife and Goliath Muffler (a monster this size should just send people flying)
It jump down into the hole dug by lambton (how does it even fit into the hole?)
Ryuu's final magic-kamikaze-dogfight (imagining the scene just feels...weird)
The worst offence is that it moves like a crawling lizard. It totally ruined the image.
I haven't watch the anime. Well, fuck. It really is big.
As for the Bell deflecting its attacks, fiction has have normal sized people fight ridiculously big giants before, so it isn't really that rare to picture it.
Ehhh... just took a look at episode 10... what a waste... I would love to see this episode done by the studio that is in charge of Kimetsu no Yaiba, but in the end, we have what we have...
I rated it as a 3, don't get me wrong I like the anime but I think they didn't even come close to doing the light novels justice. Also, I wish that the people that animated Kimitsu no Yaiba had animated all of the fighting scenes especially the juggernaut one. If you've watch Kimitsu's second season you know why I'm saying this
What do you think?
