Chapter 6 (2:33:24)
Allen was also fighting the monsters before Loki’s past elites started their suicide attack on the monsters with quick attack and retreat tactics, which was working well, but taking forever and he couldn’t aide any of the rest of Orario’s defenses because his hands were too full.
There was added Finn inner-monologue when he noticed what Loki’s past elites were planning to do, and that he noticed it was a plan he could have taken, but wasn’t willing to consider, but once they took actions into their own hands Finn wasn’t able to bring himself to try to stop them.
Chapter 6 (2:54:11)
When Ottar uses his magic “Hildis Vini” The weapon that he uses is consumed in a golden light. The effect of the magic is described as simply increasing the power of an attack. It also consumes his magic. It seems very similar to Bell’s “Argonaut”, but it has a magic incarnation and no mental state of mind conditions.
Chapter 6 (3:02:15)
Baslam commanded four of the spirit soldiers to attack the Gulliver Brothers. Three of the brothers asked Dvalinn for information on the spirit soldiers. Dvalinn told him that the human spirit soldier could use fire magic, the elf and dwarf soldiers could use lightning magic, the beast human had no magic, and the only ones that had self-generating healing abilities were the last two of those.
The brothers asked Berling if he noticed anything else. Berling only told them that Mia and the others were too busy with the other spirit soldiers to lend them any aide.
The brothers then asked Grer if he noticed any habits they had. Grer told them that the fastest one to respond to commands coming from Baslam’s staff was the human. The slowest was the dwarf. The elf was the worst with a sword and was weak in close combat. The brothers then asked Alfrigg for orders and he told them to concentrate their attacks on the elf then the dwarf before their enemies had a chance to add more reinforcements.
They brothers then worked together and concentrated their attacks on the elf, Baslam became aware of their plans and had all four spirit soldiers group up to strengthen their defenses, but the brothers still managed to kill the elf. They then tried to attack the dwarf, but the dwarf used its lightning magic to protect itself.
The brothers got pushed back by the dwarf’s attack when the human attacked them with its fire magic causing an explosion. Baslam could no longer see them, but smiled believing that he had won the battle, but Alfrigg snuck behind Baslam and cut off his left arm that was carrying the staff.
The brothers purposefully made their plans to kill the spirit soldiers by focusing on them one by one obvious to Baslam as a bluff to make Baslam fall into their “actual plan”, which was to fool Baslam in order to create an opportunity that they could rob him of his ability to issue commands to the spirit soldiers with his staff any longer.
With the staff no longer in Baslam’s possession the spirit soldiers movements suddenly seized. Once their movements had stopped the brothers then killed the three spirit soldiers who they were in combat with.
After Alfrigg cut off Baslam’s left arm, Baslam reached into his robe and tried to attack them his other weapon, “spirit’s short sword” 精霊の短剣. He then poured his magic into the sword and in doing so turned Baslam himself into a spirit soldier. When Baslam became a spirit soldier his left arm regrew. His legs and arms then transformed into the size of a giant’s. The brothers then cut off Baslam’s limbs and killed him. A member of Apate’s familia witnessed Baslam’s defeat, grabbed his staff and ordered for the remaining spirit soldiers and Evilus to retreat. Despite the brothers and Mia’s attempts to stop them some of the spirit soldiers managed to successfully escape.
Hedin and Hogni were fighting the Dis sisters. Hogni was a mess and Hedin was covered in blood when the sisters declared that they were about to kill them and then joined hands and Dina used a curse skill called in Japanese, 【ディアルヴ・スティージュ】. This is it’s incarnation in Japanese; 【黒き沼、赤き咎。咬み千切り交ざり合う、汚泥のごとき我等が臓物】【ディアルヴ・スティージュ】.
Its effect was “Status Exchange”. Its effect was that it temporarily cut the status of Dina’s “strength” and “agility” in half in return for doubling her “defense” and “magic” by half. Likewise as an effect of Dina’s curse, her sister Vena’s “defense” and “magic were cut in half in exchange for doubling the status of her “strength” and “agility”
As the curse was an “exchange” based curse that affected both of the sisters’ abilities; the cut abilities from Dina’s status were given to Vena, and the doubled abilities that Dina received were cut from Vena’s status and vice-versa.
Although they were both level 5 their strengthened abilities under the effect of Dina’s curse was that of a level 6 adventurer.
Despite the sister’s desire of who they wished to fight Hedin and Hogni choose to use their opponents weaknesses to their advantage by having Hogni who primarily fought in close range physical combat fight against Vena who primarily thought long-ranged with magic, and whose defenses were currently cut in half. Likewise; Hedin, along with his lightning magic, would fight against Dina who primarily fought in close range physical range, since her agility was currently cut in half.
The Dis sisters were not going to let them have what they wanted easily however and both attempted to fight their own desired opponents.
As soon as the battle started Vena casted her third magic, which was an explosion magic【異端の焼却、罪炎の楽園。あらゆる錯誤と倒錯はここに。燃え盛れ万の墓標】──【哭け、第六の園!轟け、第九の歌】it was a rare magic that would set flames to anything that Vena considered as “heresy” and evasion was impossible. The magic set off aiming towards Hedin who was located 10 meters away.
Vena activated a magic circle and tried to activate another magic, but she noticed Hedin pointing a sword at her, almost as if he was going to throw it at her. It was Hogni’s sword “Victim Abyss”. They had exchanged weapons before the start of the battle. Hedin poured his magic into the curse weapon, which had the ability to extend its blade up to a range of 50 meters. Suddenly Vena realized that she had been stabbed from an invisible blade stuck through her right breast.
There was then a large explosion. Vena's magic had exploded in Ignis Vatuus. Dina was furious and screamed Hedin’s name, but Hogni appeared in front of her and told her that she was his opponent, and tried to attack her. She attempted to attack Hogni as well when Hedin suddenly casted “Varian Hildr '' down on both of them. However, although Hogni was struck by Hedin’s magic he did not collapse, Dina on the other hand was currently under the effect of her own curse, which lowered her defense and agility by half
While she was weakened, she said Hogni’s name just before he cut her head off. Her head rolled to where her sister was laying still alive. Vena picked up the head of her dead sister and called out to her, but then she suddenly threw it away, and started screaming about how it was disgusting and how it couldn’t be her sister, as they were both elves.
(Because Vena had an obsessive complex about how she believed elves, her and her sister to be a pure and clean existence.)
Vena then started asking frantically where her sister was. The Dis sisters had long been mentally broken, but the death of her sister had even further driven Vena off the edge. She then crawled over to Hedin and hugged his knees, and was calling him her sister. She started begging Hedin to end her suffering. Hedin and Hogni were disgusted by her and tried to get their distance from her, which caused her to break down into an even further mental breakdown, until Hedin killed her with his magic. Just before she died she told him that she loves him calling both by his actual name and addressing him as her sister.
The scene changed and Valleta was still desperately ordering the Evilus forces despite the death of Zard and the defeat of Apate and Alecto’s familias.
Artemis and her familia appeared on the battlefield attacking the Evilus members. Her familia captain informed her that they had successfully secured Orario’s Eastern walls. Her familia captain made a statement on how fast they were able to arrive at Orario and how she thought they would collapse at the pace that they were traveling without much rest, Artemis apologized to her, but said that if Orario fell the rest of the world would soon fall after so they couldn’t avoid it.
Her familia captain asked her if it was really ok for them not to spend their time now protecting the Empire and the rest of the world from the Evilus, and mentioned on their way there that they managed to save some villages and travel on the roads from Evilus attacks though.
Artemis responded and said that she left that duty up to the Education District, and they had much more hands to aid them than their familia, including the Knight of Knights.
The familia captain responded and asked, “that brat that got wrapped up in the battle against Levithan?”
Artemis ignored the question and thought out loud that the Evilus plan was to reset the world to what it was before the gods ever descended to the lower world.
Her familia captain asked Artemis if everything was alright, and Artemis told her it was fine, and said to come with her in rejoining her familia’s battle against the monsters still in the city.
Asfi was excited when she noticed that Artemis came to lend them their aid and informed her of the situation.
(Character notes)
Baslam was a cultist and he believed in his god’s Apate’s evil teachings, and he did not condone the existence of those that he believed were not walking down what he considered from Apate’s teachings as the “righteous path”. A light also glowed from the tip of his staff to the spirit soldiers.
