It may be that Ryuu defeats Hogni by himself, but I wouldn't like it, Hogni has more experience, more prowess, more level and is in full physical condition, instead Ryuu has been retired for 5 years.

A solo victory for Ryuu would have alarming amounts of plot armor and I don't see why this alternative is the best if it can be consistently solved by having some Ganesha adventurers help her.

Danmachi has a level system, which is quite restrictive by the way, so if a level 5 Ryuu can defeat a level 6, Omori would be skipping the system and I don't see why creating it if he is going to skip it whenever he wants. I personally prefer that the rules are respected to maintain consistency in the plot.

I really think it would be good for them to get beaten up a little bit and lose for once.

I really think the Freya Familia we have seen is a lesser force then the one Ottar grow up with. Not in the form of levels but in character. We see this in both Ottar and Mia. Both are all and all good people. I think this is more or less how they were when Zeus and Hera was around and being the top dogs. Maybe getting their ass kick by level 7s 8s and a level 9 help keep them in line and not just wanting to be dicks to everyone.

But with them gone and with Freya herself slowly losing herself they seem to have fallen and are in need or a wake up call to get back on track. Hoping this will be it.

@Thornightfang I think it's a bit of a stretch to call Ottar a good person. He's not utter scum like the other current FF elites, but a good person wouldn't just dumbly follow orders to do horrible things like he does. He's a Punch Clock Villain.
