I am curious what details in the story people would want to see changed or just wished there was more of.
I have two things that I wish got handled a bit differently.
1.
I feel like Omori has made some characters and then retroactively expanded on them, making them more prominent than initially intended. I feel like a few of my personal favorites are also dead, and can therefore never add anything new to future events.
Like, I think Zald and Alfia were enjoyable characters. I would've liked to see how the past generation could've contributed to the current one, despite their own weaknesses and failures. It would be cool if not everyone strong from that era was dead. They could've just been not in Orario due to their Familia's weakening and being forced out.
2.
I feel like Astraea Familia starting off dead and then being retroactively fleshed out makes me disappointed that they cannot be given more prominent roles.
Only Ryuu could. So, I either get the Astraea Familia dying for Ryuu's character arc or the Astraea Familia needs to have enough presence to offset the loss of Ryuu.
If they die, I get sad that their characters never have the chance to do more in the story. If they live, I feel like Ryuu is fundamentally a different character. Basically, I feel that Omori wrote this in a way where I ended up wanting several things that conflict with each other. Further usage of interesting side characters and a side character who's setting relies on the others already being dead.
Therefore, I wish that the author either made their deaths feel like a completion to their personal stories, fleshed out details on Alise less, didn't make them so prominent/Promising in Astraea Record (Dumb given the name, but still), or let me feel a bit like Ryuu carries their memories and wills better than giving her a single magic ability.
Those were my two things I wish could see explored differently.
