So the 6th anniversary is SO12 for real?
Yeah SO12 is confirmed to be the next anniversary.
It makes sense too since the author said 2023 was going to be lefiyas year.
This decision seems strange to me, why recycle content already seen with so much potential to explore? like the families Zeus and Hera, or the chronicles of Albert.
Anyway, hopefully it comes with new content. Something that I would like to see corrected is the participation of Finn and Riveria during this event, in order that their level increase is totally justified and does not seem so arbitrary.
Seems weird? We are probably never going to get SO anime ever again. So what’s the next best thing? Voice acting it. If they didn’t do it for the anniversary, we would have NEVER heard SO12 even voice acted (let alone animated) since this is it after 6th anniversary (for stories).
I want to hear Ais voice in tempest avenger mode (when she is completely gone mentally).
Albert is for the books (Ais arc) and the Zeus stuff is most likely going to be it’s own series once MS is officially completed (author said he wanted to do a series for Zeus and Hera once MS is completed).
To me, this made the most sense (especially since we already have SO11 and 13 voice acted already).
Have to say I also expected some new content like Leinad. Canon or not, that was what every anniversary had given.
But with DanMemo no longer having new events after this one, I have to agree this is the best course of action. An anime has been out of the realm of possibilities since long ago, so that the DanMemo adapted it is something I was always grateful for, even if I didn't see them myself.
By the way, was SO13 really adapted? I knew they released a SO13 Lefiya unit, but thought it was only that. Seemed strange to do given they hadn't adapted even SO12 yet. Mind telling me the name of the event?
Since Omori takes so long between new posts, I prefer that they always contain unpublished content. Watching some volumes animated or semi-animated is fun but I wouldn't prioritize it over new content, it's a matter of taste.
That being said, I didn't know that DanMemo would end after this latest release, but for that reason, I would have preferred a super spectacular ending to content recycling.
The Zeus and Hera families or the Albert's chronicles were just ideas, plus novels can be written about these as you mention, so the mere event would only be the preamble to what could come later.
But hey, if he had already animated all the Sword Oratoria volumes, it's logical that he would also do it with the 12th, the only thing I hope is that it's not a true copy but that it improves some controversial aspects of the volume, like Finn's performance for example, because the one who should have leveled up after the volume was Allen, not him, it was a mistake by Omori that I hope he corrects this time.
What do you think?
