Why is it stupid? We all know it will cover until Vol 18.

Oomori has nothing to do with when the anime goes into production/airs. If the studio has to wait a couple more years for the LN to catch up with enough volumes to adapt, so be it (this already happened inbetween S1 and 2).

The season will definitely benefit even more from last by being two cours.

It’s interesting that every season’s planned airing date fits with the season in the story.

-S1: story takes place during spring, aired in Spring 2015

-S2: story takes place during summer, aired in Summer 2019

-S3: story takes place during summer, originally planned to air in Summer 2020

-S4: story takes place during summer, started airing in Summer 2022

-S5: story takes place during fall, airing in Fall 2024

S6 might air during fall or winter season. Most likely we won’t get announcement of S6 until at least the arc after the School District Arc is finished since the production team need to know how long that arc will be in order to decide if S6 should be one cour covering the School District Arc only or two cours covering both arcs. So probably shouldn’t expect S6 announcement at least until after Vol 22 is out.

I am looking forward to this anime series the Freya Arc is my favorite.
