Good luck with the giant power-up, Great Spirits are no longer an available options in the Era of God & so far Omori has just reestablished how much a cheat is Haruhime level boost so unless he give them all a convoluted limit off they won't get anything better than UnK. It's safer to assume that Fels Project introduced in Volume 19 will do the trick or that OEBD is easier to take down in Orario since it doesn't have the assistance of the army of absurdly strong dragon that exist in Dragon Vallet.

We already knew that since the release of volume 15 itself. And that was the time it took him to reach the conditions to rank up "normally", with his highest stat only at rank B. Oomori is all about flashiness. He priorizes making a big show before any rule. He operates by Rule of Cool. I mean, he even outright admitted that when making a new volume he focuses on outdoing the previous ones. So unless he has now decided to entirely change how he writes, Bell isn't ranking up until he hits SSS rank in all his stats, regardless of when he first reaches rank D.

Not to mention that Oomori also said that Bell was ranking up too fast for his liking. So unless he changed his opinion on that too, Bell's rank ups ain't getting any faster.

Also, when did Oomori said the story was taking a "detour"?

Interesting point but by your own accord what is the more interest by Rule of Cool ? Rank up with SSS stats or having a double rank up ? Because there is a limite to how higher Bell stats can get till the reader ask this question. I will also point that Bell final agility stat at level 4 was actually lower than his final agility stat at level 3.

Didn’t volume 19 was there precisly to slow down his progession ? Moreover it’s kind of contradictory with adding Ryuu has skill booster, pointing that Bell is impatient reaching Ais & stating that Bell will no longer have Time to rest.

@Pluton9, Raising the rank quickly will allow for increasingly epic scenarios, under the premise that statistics are irrelevant, but weren't you precisely the one who defended tooth and nail the idea that statistics were extremely important? By proposing that Bell rank up as soon as he gets a D rank stat you are contradicting yourself.

Furthermore, I find it unlikely that Omori will change his style in this regard; if Bell has always leveled up with statistics in SSS, some super special case would have to occur for Omori to modify this pattern, something that would generate a 180° turn in his literary style.

On the other hand, whether "detour" is the appropriate term or not, the question is whether Omori categorically stated that he decided to back out of giving the story a maximum durability of one year and decided to extend it longer. If so, it would be appreciated if you shared the source because until now Omori has always confirmed that the story will not extend beyond the year.

For now, let's work under the condition that the story doesn't go on longer than expected, in which case this school district arc will be the last break Bell can get. Although Omori does not like that Bell is growing "too fast" he has no choice but to maintain and/or accelerate the pace, since there is no time to take things easy.

And the difference was of only 35 points, while the rest of his stats were over 200 higher, so it doesn't actually compare at all.

In DM8 (Lili's chapter), after a week of only doing dungeon exploration, a Level 3 Bell got an increase of just 55 points. Meanwhile, as a Level 4, in two weeks he gained 757 points from dungeon exploration alone. That is an increase of 378 points per week; over six times what he got as a Level 3. Despite the fact that by logic he should have gotten way less because he obviously couldn't go any deeper than before and he was an entire level higher.

But although he gained so much from going to the Middle Floors at most, during his time in Folkvangr he gained 2725 points across 20 days. That is an increase of 908 points per week, in spite of the much stronger opponents. Over double the growth may look like a lot, but we are talking about going from fighting Level 2s to being repeatedly beaten by Level 6s.

Sure, he was having doubts so that may serve as an excuse for Liaris Freese's reduced effectiveness, but there's also the out-of-universe issue. If Oomori wanted to speed up Bell's growth rate, Folkvangr was the perfect opportunity. A justification for having Bell reach whichever amounts he wanted him to in a couple of days. Instead he made him stay over half a month.

Bell's growth is entirely up to whatever Oomori feels like doing. There is also a DM18 SS in which it is explicity pointed out that as a Level 5 Bell has it harder to raise his stats.

Don't misunderstand me, I was asking a question to someone else opinion, not expressing my own opinion. Beside at no point did I said Bell rank up at D stat (even in Volume 15 the lowest stat was C) just merely pointed there is a limit to how much higher his SSS stat can go before failing into unrealistic territory for a reader or worst the editor.

Bell didn't get all of her stats in SSS until Freya's arc, for all other ranks up it was just his agility stats which as previously stated had already decreased (albeit slightly) compared to to the result of the previous level.

If so, it would be appreciated if you shared the source because until now Omori has always confirmed that the story will not extend beyond the year.

No, the elevator is a Royman project & probably just a way for Omori to push the Dungeon to react making a nightmarish situation so that Bell once again saves the day.

It's not exactly a theory but so far it's not like it was confirmed OEBD beat every members of Zeus & Hera personally, we only got the confirmation about Alfia & their captains which is just 3 peoples. Also we see multiple time how monster fight so as long it was not OEBD main target nothing stops those dragons from make these adventurers their snacks.

Do you think a bell with SSS 4450 for every stat wouldn't make the reader ask how the hell Bell hasn't already leveled up ?

Help me remember, but wasn't those 2 weeks the part of the Freya arc where Bell kidnapped by Hedin to receive Spartan Date training into the dungeon for several days ? If it's the case those point are more the result of being beaten by a high level 6 for the slighest mistake than challending the Dungeon.

Yep kind of remember that training with Tiona & Tione to get rid of the dysynization between body & mind that lasted a week. After that Bell has fought Ottar in the War Game & almost got the quintupled of the point he got by training with the Twins in less than a seventh of the time.

To be fair Hestia also commented it would have been higher if Ais was involved which can also applied when Bell was level 4. Already 3 months have pass since they agree to train again.

Yeah, but there is also the fact that it is Bell's thing. And Oomori loves high stats. No fight has ever been decided by status (except for when there has been a level difference) and so long as two characters are of the same level they can keep up with each other, with it being always said that the stronger one is so because of skill. Yet Oomori keeps giving every major character a high status.

As ridiculous as this may sound, no. I have seen people that say Bell can only match those of a higher level when his current stats are above the S999 limit, people who say actually anyone can match or surpass someone of a higher level in a certain stat through points alone (so it's not a thing exclusive of Bell's extra stats), people who say it only makes him stronger in his current level (but not to the point of competing with those of a higher one), and people who say that points from further previous levels become more irrelevant (ie, points gained as a Level 1 are irrelevant at Level 5) so Bell constantly getting such high stats allows him to keep the slight advantage he does have, but said advantage doesn't progressively increase.

As you can see, in spite of what you or I may believe, the fandom doesn't actually overall agree in how Bell's extras stats work. Or used to. So while there would certainly be some that wonder what's even their point anymore, not everyone would think so.

No. Hedin only had Bell for less than a week. And remember that since Hedin took him Bell hadn't seen his familia until the day he met with Horn disguised as Syr, and Hestia didn't update his status in DM16 because of him running away from the Freya executives to protect Horn.

So Bell's status sheet in DM16 were the stats he gained from before all of that happened, ergo the two weeks between his update in DM15 and the events of DM16. Time in which the only thing he could have done that raised his stats was dungeon exploration.

I'm not saying that Bell isn't getting any big updates now. He is obviously still going to get them after big fights. But that doesn't mean the time he spends at each level stays the same, or could even decrease. He got 3400 points from all the events in DM12-14, which happened in roughly a week. That means that in a single week Bell gained half of the total amount his final Level 4 status had.

Yet between the "break" period that was the time between DM14 and DM15 and DM15 itself, along with how long the events of DM16 and DM17 took, Bell spent another two months as a Level 4 after those battles. Just look at DM19 for example. Bell spent three weeks in the School District, time during which he shouldn't have gained much excelia. And that puts us at already over a month since he became Level 5.

And despite that we have no clue if Bell has even got half of what Oomori is going to want his final Level 5 status to be. Neither do we know for certain if his next big adventures are going to be quick. Who is to say they are not going to be other Folkvangrs, with they do giving Bell big gains but taking quite long to complete?

And even if we have no breaks in the story like DM8 or DM15 it doesn't mean all the time left is going to go towards strenghtening Bell. Or if it does, that it is going to be efficient. In DM12 Hestia Familia took 10 days to prepare for their expedition, 10 days in which Bell didn't get any excelia. That is an example of the former. An example of the latter is the training with Tiona and Tione, a bunch of days (maybe a week, like you say) of intense training that only gave Bell a bit over 200 points.

Anyway, when did Bell saved Lauriel? Is it sbefore dating Syr or after he dated Syr? Season 5 of the Anime will be release on October and they already shows a preview of some screenshots of it. I just want to see that scene/part.

The truth is I really not liking it anymore, though I like it before when he is still at low Levels; I hope thier will be an Arc or season that his status will go on Plateau, you know it will stop growing...
