The statistics that we now know are the statistics that Hestia updated during the war game in the middle of the battle with the Ottar. So we haven’t seen Bell’s final statistics after the war game yet (the one after the “Victory over Ottar” and running away from Allen)? Do I understand everything correctly? If so, what range do you think he will have it in?
I decided to make a post for those who are not on Reddit and don’t read many of the answers in the community. There is some information about the new book from Omori's tweet https://x.com/fujinoomori/status/1830612851184337118?s=46It shows the name of the prologue “Hero Afterglow”, most likely volume 20 (maybe so 15), he also stated that he could finally talk about “This” and there was a hint that the deadline had already passed (a similar tweet was in May 2023 before volume 19) . So most likely this is the name of the prologue of volume 20 and it will be released during the anime release period somewhere in December-January
If I remember correctly Omori (Author) said that he did not want White to be the strongest adventurer. This is true? Or will there still be a sharp jump of 3-4 levels in 4 months?
Question: Did anyone other than Alfia and Bel in the franchise use Limit Disabling? And can they even do this? Or is this exclusively for such strange people as Bell and Alfia? Or, for example, Ottar can and did do this too? Well, regarding the ss+ status, they can get it because of their skills, others, as I understand it, cannot?
One team with the xenos and one without. Can add party members of other familias.
Do you think there should be a death from the main cast. One thing I noticed is that obviously the other familias get killed but none of the hestia familia. Or of their allies like miack or the other guy. Do you think someone should die next season or the following?
In what chapter did Freya find out that Bell announced the limitations of his abilities (that is, 999+ characteristics). Where is this mentioned and what kind of reaction did she have?
Bell:Exsist
Hestia:Flitrs
Needed to make this meme cuz is canon.
Deleted this image on my telephone after i made the meme
Let’s have this take place after the great faction war. And there will be two teams. One with the xenos and one without. Team limit of ten.any familia aloud. Have fun.
There are a couple of questions to which I would like to know the answers. The first thing we have is that there will actually be volume 1 this year? Secondly, when will Bell raise the jump of volumes to level 6 and what are his characteristics now at the level, have they at least passed the middle or dosi at a low level?
Hestia confirms, again, that Ais is the power source of Liaris Freese. I also Liked the part with Loki saying "that girl is tied down by oaths more than anyone". Loki obviously doesn't know this, but that is another parallel drawn between Ais and Bell, both always honor every vow/oath they make. Cool parallel imo.
Allen questions why Freya kept the sword princess out of the wargame even though she was willing to defeat anyone that opposed her.
Nice connection (for once this time) Omori drew with the whole Ais oath and vow that she made and kept her from helping Bell. Ottar said that "her sword would rot away" if she went against the oath she had made. I said this is a nice connection because in SO, we find out that Ais picked up the sword because her hero never came to her and she had to be the one to avenge her fathers death and take back her mother, so hence why she wields the sword in the first place. So basically, if she broke that oath she had made to Freya and Ottar, she was giving up on and or even weakening her resolve on why she picked up the sword in the first place. Ais top priority in her life is avenging her dead father and taking back her mother, Ais is not a simp. Bell is important to her, yes, but he does not take top priority in her life right now. Eventually he will, but Bell has to earn that spot, which obviously he isn't even remotely close to that yet (he has proven nothing to Ais yet). imo, Bell is just a boy to Ais and not a reliable MAN to her yet.
Bells reaction to the entire Ais thing is actually kind of funny because he just simply didn't care. He said that he had heard that Ais had her reasons and that he was sure that she will be cheering them on (which was correct, well, sorta, mainly cheering Bell on heavily lmao). He even goes as far as to say that he will be fine because Ais's teachings will be with him during the wargame (they are firmly rooted deeply into his heart, he said). This also proved my prediction that the favor was solely meant for Ais and ONLY Ais. It was never meant to effect Bell in any kind of way, it was solely meant to effect Ais (and to show how jealous Freya is of Ais and the position she, Ais, holds in Bells heart).
Ais reaction to Bell fighting in the wargame and getting hurt.
I personally believe this shows that Freya truly did fall in love with Bell. It also shows that even with the authority that Freya has (especially with her charm), that Bell cant be bent towards any other direction besides towards the one he yearns for, Ais. There is also a paragraph I will add below it where Bell was talking to Ryuu and it said that Bell wasn't in the wrong when he followed Welf's advice, and at that moment, he chose his aspiration (Ais). Then it goes onto say Freya was in the wrong.
Overall, it was okay. I mainly just wanted to look at the more hot button topics in the book like these ones and I think it was more direct than what people made it sound like from the JP spoilers.
Omori stated that if Bell loses Liaris Freese, it would mean the end of the world. Initially, this implies that Bell will need a gigantic level for that battle. However, Omori has consistently emphasized that the story will not extend beyond a year. Considering Bell's current trajectory, he may reach a new level 7 at most by the end of the year, making him not even the strongest in Orario. So, why would he be indispensable? This is where inconsistencies begin to emerge.
Contemplating the above, I questioned whether power is genuinely the decisive factor in determining the winner in combat in this novel. Examining Omori's track record, particularly in the war game, it becomes clear that power is not the decisive factor; the plot is. Omori has demonstrated no qualms about weaker characters defeating much stronger opponents (with differences of 2, 3, or even 4 levels) through the power of the script if the plot demands it. From this perspective, it is well explained why more time is not needed, as the level or power of the adventurers facing OEBD becomes irrelevant. The power of the script will provide a scenario with favorable conditions, allowing them to defeat OEBD, even with significant level differences.
With plot convenience, anyone can be defeated. However, if levels are irrelevant in the fray, why did Bell need to keep Liaris Freese? The only explanation I can think of is that this ability will grant him other powers, such as a significant boost when protecting Ais or something similar.
What are your thoughts? Do you believe gigantic levels will be required to defeat OEBD, or will the power of the script allow them to achieve victory, regardless of their levels?
How do you like this idea for a fanfic: Actions will take place six months after volume 19, the Dark Ages are coming to the world of Orario, A secret organization that wants to create a new order in the world is plotting a mystery that involves overthrowing the gods from Hekai, the main villain will be the Spirit, who lives for more than 5 thousand years, who is pretending, who stole the human body of an adventurer who lived 200 years, who was the founders of Rivira (as for why this devil took the body, I just think we need to expand more information about the spirits and their abilities , they just didn’t say much about them), and the second villain will be an adventurer who was once a member of Freya’s family, who betrayed her 20 years ago, and who was able to increase his level to 8 (yes, I know it’s strange, I just want the villain was an ordinary person, not universal evil, etc.). You can also reveal the history of the old Persians through all these future events, the emergence of new Persians associated with these characters: Welf, Mikoto, Cassandra, Daphne, Ryu, Takemezuchi, Loki, Finn, Lunoir, Aiz, etc.; Expand the world of Danmachi: add more details about states and cities in the world of Gekai; tell some events that happened in the past and recently. You can also make more opportunities in magic and more, for example, we have the Blood of Crozzo, which allows you to create better magical weapons, and this ability is hereditary, right? Then you can add more innate techniques and other things. It is also better to reveal the potential of curses as force or magic. And I can’t explain further, it’s too complicated and unclear.
If Bell traveled through time and stopped before hestia was descended, would the falna lose its effect and the statuses go back to before he had falna like what happens with gods who return to tenkai or would it gradually lose its effect? and also if bell goes back in time just before hestia introduced him as a member??
What do you think about the world in which the main character is located? Will they show us a map of the Danmachi world? Will there be an event happening other than Orario?
So can someone give me a clear answer about how strong Bell Cranel is? Will he be able to defeat the Dis Sisters alone (or with a fight like in volume 18 from his Master Hedin). Or will he be able to fight and win at least 5/10 fights against the first class of the Freya family 1 on 1 (except for the Gulivers, they are 4 and OTTAR DOESN'T COUNT). Well, or at least Loki's last name is one of the Amazons, ice without wind and bete without brutality can defeat at least 5/10 of the battles? Or is he a useless weakling even with such top characteristics?
Volume 17 marked a significant milestone in Bell's emotional maturity when he expressed, quite clearly, his exclusive interest in one specific woman—a behavior he had never exhibited before. This highlighted a notable development in his character.
However, by volume 18, doubts began to arise regarding whether this display of profound emotional maturity would remain a consistent aspect of his personality from then on. I questioned whether it was a constant growth or merely circumstantial. It seemed possible that Bell's romantic rigidity stemmed from the necessity to avoid falling for Freya. But once that obstacle was overcome, would he revert to his previous emotional state, rendering his significant development merely a plot convenience?
I was looking forward to the publication of volume 19, not because I was expecting groundbreaking content, but rather sought insight into Bell's behavior in relationships. Would he sustain the determination he exhibited in volume 17 (solely for Ais)? Or would he revert to his former self, indicating that his emotional progress was merely circumstantial?
Upon reading the volume, I swiftly found my answer. Omori returned to his more conventional style regarding Bell and women. Notably, an extensive number of women displayed romantic interest in him (I counted 9). However, what truly stands out is the involution in Bell's character when handling these relationships.
Ryuu's case exemplifies this involution vividly. Bell's emotional progress was specifically evident with Ryuu—he had previously expressed her, his exclusive interest in a sole woman (volume 17). Yet, in volume 19, things took a very different turn. Bell couldn't provide her with an answer, stating he didn't know when he would be capable of doing so. His incapacity to act contrasts starkly with his previous behavior...
However, the ultimate evidence of his emotional involution occurred in the cafeteria scene involving Eina, Hestia, Lili, and Ryuu. Here, we witnessed a typical Danmachi scene with women vying for Bell's attention—a scenario repeated many times. Yet, what was truly crucial in this scene was Bell's attitude. He chose to handle the situation as he used to before the Freya arc, feigning ignorance to avoid providing clear answers.
This behavior was understandable before volume 16, when Bell was immature and unsure how to handle such situations. However, seeing him revert to this behavior post-Freya arc is disappointing. It begs the question: What did he learn from his experiences with Syr/Freya? He admits in the volume that he still feels the sting of rejecting Syr, so why repeat the same behavior with Hestia, Ryuu, and Eina?
My hypothesis is that Omori stepped back from firmly establishing Ais as the sole and absolute "winner." It's not a question of hatred towards her; rather, it's about questioning why Omori regressed Bell's emotional development that was already directed exclusively towards Ais. He could have continued with the trajectory set in volume 17 to resolve this matter conclusively. However, that wasn't the case; in fact, Ais didn't even appear in volume 19, which reinforces this hypothesis.
Warning: This post aims to discuss Bell's emotional development on a romantic level and Omori's intentions in this regard. Therefore, kindly refrain from specific shipping discussions, as the objective is not to advocate for any particular team.
How powerful Bell really is has been a question that has generated a thousand debates on the wiki, yes, we all know that he has a boost due to his statistics, but the magnitude of it has been a topic of controversy, how could it not be? when the author has deliberately maintained ambiguity in this regard, giving information only in relative terms which will always lend itself to subjectivity.
However, I was watching the drama CD where Bell travels to the past and meets the Astraea family and after spending time with them he decides to defeat Evilus himself, as it is, he defeats the Dis sisters without killing them and hands them over to the guild.
This fact tells us that Bell is capable of defeating 2 adventurers of his same level, which seems to me to be conclusive evidence that Bell is the most powerful of his own level without the slightest doubt. I think it is important to point this out because although it seems obvious, I had debates with users who thought that Bell could be defeated by some other level 5 with less status but more experience, however this fact refutes that postulate.
In addition to this, it provides other significant information regarding the importance of the level, that is, by direct implication we deduce that Bell is much stronger than Hedin and Hogni were as levels 5, but we have seen that when he trains with Hedin, he is still weaker than him, therefore, it is evident that the level is what weighs the most, much more than the statistics.
I know some will say: "it's a Drama CD, it's not canon!" Sure, the story evidently isn't, but does that necessarily mean that the details given in it are false? I don't see why Omori would lie about it.
