when Bell is lvl 5, will he be able to defeat Ice? What do you think? 1-on-1 combat (when both using magic and skills)

Having read the synopsis for volume 17, I am left wonder what exactly saving Freya actually means in terms of the story.

I believe that Bell said that he would save her if his side won the war game so does that mean that Syr is coming back in some capacity or do you think that it means that Freya will start acting more like she did when she was Syr?

I am very curious what Bell "saving" her could possibly lead to in the story. If you have any thoughts then comment below.

I was curious as to whether there have been any leaks or announcements regarding Volume 18 of the main series because it has been nearly 6 months since the release of Volume 17 and Volume 16 came 6 months prior to that. I know that release dates arent always consistent but im just a little excited for even the slightest bit of news about the next book. If anyone could share any genuine news that they have i would greatly appreciate it. Also im not sure if the next novel is indeed MS 18 or SO 13 because i heard someone mention that SO 13 has spoilers for MS 19 in it so it will be released alongside MS 19. It would be nice if somebody could fill me in on my above queries, Thank you ✌🏻

Since Freya familia can't be kicked out of Orario, sent back to heaven, or have any of their executives killed, then Y throwing out a war game?

At the very most, the guild will give them a "penalty" for what they have done.

I know that everyone in Orario is pissed because she charmed them and played with their minds, but seriously everyone was living thier daily life normally without any restrictions except for the matters regarding Bell,So they shouldn't THAT mad about it IMO. I mean Orario shouldn't forget what the Freya familia did to them 7 years before.

So ive given it a tad bit of thought and a lot of familias about to go into an absolute warzone boast quite a few high level adventurers with high status and just raring to have an adventure

Will this be it?

I mean with riveria and ottar and such theres a bunch of people on the very verge of maxing out and this war game right there is practically perfect adventuring grounds for em and we damn well know you can level up from mortal combat with humans due to the existance of telskyura and all of that

And thinking about it, high level against high level adventurer fights are the type of challenge that the most experienced of people dont really find on expeditions

Sides it would be cool for orario to regain a level 8 and get ever closer to another try at the black dragon...

• More drama.

• Level 5 Bell, new skill / magic, and new OP weapon to confront Freya.

• Bell will be protected by plot armor. Badly injured but not killed.

• Bell will use talk no jutsu to Freya. Not effective.

• Freya will use her trump card (Ais's debt).

• Freya will ask Bell to confess his love to Ais in front of public not only for revenge because he was rejected her confession but also to weaken Liaris Freese.

• And due to her debt to Freya, Ais will reject Bell's confession.

• Liaris Freese is weaken. It's super effective.

• Freya will start to use her charm. It's super effective.

• Hestia use her blood, blessing or whatever that is to protect Bell to undo or negate Freya's charm. It's super effective.

• Ottar will destroy that thing. It's super effective.

• Charming process will continued but it's slow due to Liaris Freese (yes, it's already weaken, not completely gone).

• Hermes or Zeus will come to save Bell. Telling him that a hero should do this.. should not do that.. or some shit like that.

• Bell will remember Zeus's speech.

• Bell's not get charmed because of his strong-will or whatever that is.

• Freya's angry because her plan or charm didn't work even if Liaris Freese was weaken.

• Bell will try to confront Freya once again. But Ottar will be his last opponent.

• Since Bell's protected by plot armor and Ottar isn't the main character, obviously Ottar will lose this fight.

• Bell will use talk no jutsu again and showing Freya that pendant, necklace, whatever that was to remember she's Syr and not rejecting Syr's existence.

• Freya's crying because of what she was done to Orario.

• Bell's giving her hug or something romantic.

• Done. Happy ending. Nobody dies.

Freya has finally done it, she finally put to motion the plan she had to kidnap Bell from Hestia, while their was a hiccup in her plan, she adapted it by changing the memories of everyone in Oranio to bend to her will, but this is in vain

Bell can never love anyone but Ais (though personally, I prefer him being with someone like Haruhime) and that won't change no matter how you try to brainwash him

Freya can change everyone's memories, she can threaten to kill everyone Bell cares about, she can even lock him in a cage with nowhere to go, but in the end, Freya wants Bell to fall for her as a woman, but that will never happen, her plan was doomed from the start, and I think she's slowly realizing this as well and it's destroying her since she cannot handle this kind of rejection

Freya did everything she can to get Bell, but she is no closer than when she started, if not further away as I'm sure this would only motivate Bell to stay away from her after this is resolved somehow, and Freya in the end will be destroyed because of it, heck, I think in her madness, she'd order her familiar to kill everyone in Oranio in a blind rage, or in her blind rage, use her Arcanum to do it, so she can get Bell's soul, if she can't have him, nobody can

Is anyone else actually getting a vibe of the Orario civil war being between Freya v Syr? I'm getting a feeling Freya familia might back Bell to save Freya and help Syr finally merge with her again making her complete. The executives keep saying they want what's best for her.

Anya's story seems tragic but the jist of it is that she was along and tried to do more than she was capable of and someone got hurt because of it. someone she cared about. Is that really deep character building cause seems generic to me. or am i missing something here?

This is all I could think of reading about the book.

Well I will be talking about Bells character and its progression of it (not detailed).

We all know that Bell is an idiotic, naive and inoccent "character". Bell started like this which is absoloutly fine but he didnt Develope and that at all. Bell didnt have any development in the earlier Vols which is not bad because we need to first know how he is. This problem gets worse as the series continues.

Bell didnt have any development in Vol 6-8. His home is destroyed, he was injured and even was framed for something he didnt do (hurting Luan). He almost even loss a body part if Naaza didnt rescue him. The entire point of prostitutes ruin heroes is ruined because Omori backs out at the end by stating Haru is a virgin. Bells entire struggle and inner thoughts where wasted and didnt have any meaning which as well ruins his development there.

Vol 8 is entirely pointless for Bell because nothing that was stated there actually never mattered and Vol 17 is proof of this.

The entire Xenos arc is pointless because Bell doesnt develope or get any kind of lasting consequences for working together and rescuing monsters. The entirety of Orario forget that Bell actually helped monsters with no reason. The entire hate and animossity that he and his familia got is gone right after that.

Vol 12-15 doesnt show a matured Bell, him being worried about the safety of his members is something normal that Bell did since the beginning.

Vol. 16 basicly proves that Bell even if you thought he matured, he didnt. Bell saying to "Syr" that he will rescue her even If he needs to fight the Freya Familia is just stupid beyond any reason. Bell didnt endanger not only his life (which he doesnt have problmes with) he endangered his entire goddamn Family (which he actually care about a lot but we dont see that here) which are to weak to protect themselfs against almost any member of Freya Familia.

Vol 17 comes like a rocket and his entire familia is almost killed by the Freya members. Freya erases the memories of all people in Orario to let them think that Bell was always in her Familia. Bell lost his entire Family, his friends, his life in Orario and even the person he loves doesnt remember him (at least in the beginning).

Freya basicly ruined his entire life in Orario effectively killed his entire new found Family without taking there lives and Bell still think he needs to rescue her. Vol 8 established that Bells only Family was his grandpa that died and that broke him. He found in Orario a new Family which he was really close with, where he shared adventures with, where he shared tragic, sad or good moments with and that all is gone, erased because Freya wants him.

Does someone really think that Bell cares about his Family when he doesnt have any kind of reaction to losing them. Yes he was depressed but that is only one reaction which is nothing new for us and Bell (Wiene Death scene). Bell should be angry maybe even lash verbally out on Freya for taking his Family, for ruining his life.

Bell doenst do any of that, he just accepts it, makes even friends in Freya Familia. Bell should be beyond angry and depressed, he should be gloomy. Imagine Bell being gloomy, he doesnt talk to any Freya Members and Freya herself, doesnt let his Falna updated and even eats outside and comes late at night home to just avoid any of them. Maybe even imagine that Bells gloominess effects the Citizens in Orario who came actually knew Bell as a happy teen (before memory erase). Imagine that the city itself becomes quiet gloomy because of Bells pressence while he avoids contact with Freya and her Familia. Wouldnt that show us that Bell actually really cared about his Family. Wouldnt that show Freya that she has gone too far.

It would actually be good development for Bell to actually go at least once against his own promise and thats saving Freya because not everyone is worth saving and she definetly is not worth it. It would help Bell to differeniate who is worth and not worth saving or better to say if they even deserve to be saved. It would as well be good developement for Freya seeing her own action exploding in her face and Bell absoloutly hating and despising her. Just imagine after all she done just to get Bell, he avoids her even lashing out on her and maybe even ruining his pure Soul that she wanted to have.

Now to Bell and him being not worthy of the Title Hero:

Bells path isnt a path to become a Hero. A hero is created by the adversities he faces and the consequences of his actions. Bell fullfils the first but the second is missing to this day in the LN. Before someone comes with he had lasting consequences name one consequence that he had that lasted after an arc. Right there isnt one.

The Citizens forgive Bell for one reason or another in the Xenos arc nullfying everything that happened. The Xenos arc basicly showed us Bell will never get any lasting consequences ever, so how can he be become a hero when he doesnt face it.

How can Bell understand the ones who cant protect themself. He was OP from the very beginning where he got Liaris Fresse. How can he understand the feeling of losing someone when it actually doesnt matter to him. How can he forge himself to a hero when he doesnt know anything about the world and struggles others had to become strong. He didnt have any problem with it, he basicly speed runs lvls.

Everything that I stated about his none existent character and this here basicly goes against becoming a Hero. Bell doesnt have anything that a hero requires, he even fails at even being a character.

I always readed english translated but never readed raw LN. I need to know which language i need to learn to read them :/ (i said new LN so it will be the topic of danmachi, i dont have spoilers.*) sry for taking your time. When i search in internet there is kanji ,wasei eigo,hiragana and 1 or 2 more. Idk which to learn or are they the same....
