Finally, some volume 20 news
Season 4 was very well done. If season 5 is of a similar quality then this could be very good
I like Ryuu but wasn't this series suppose to be used to flesh out other characters? Just silly to do Ryuu again
@ThatRabidPotato I am curious what makes you think I am not a Ais shipper? Because I'm not attacking other people for shipping someone else? I'm not shallow.
Liaris Freese skill notes is vague. It literally just says "Fast growth as long as the user is in love". It doesn't say for "just Ais" or anything. You can't blame other people for thinking that if he fell in love with someone else that the skill would still persist.
Also "reiterating the truth" isn't why the story is bad. For example, the what if story for Alfia. That story was good and you didn't see mass hate on that one. It showed what would happen if Alfia didn't go through with Erebus plan and remained with Bell. It showed some sweet mother and son like moments between Bell and Alfia. It was great and enjoyable to read.
Imagine ending that what if story with "because of Alfia and Zard's choice, the OEBD killed everyone". It a massive random tonal shift that is completely shoved into your face for no reason and dampening the story. Truth or not, doesn't matter because it wasn't necessary for the story. The author adding that to the Ryuu what if was in bad taste and not even needed.
NGL this was so bad of a what if story that I thought it was a joke or fake news
It seems to be true and it just makes me so baffled? Why make a what if story for Ryuu that basically implies that the world is doomed because he chose Ryuu?
Ryuu fans are clearly looking forward to this what if story so why insult them? The author could've just wrote a happy ending with them married and having kids and all would be great. It's not canon, so the author could've wrote whatever happy ending and it wouldn't matter. Ryuu fans could have at least get to see what them being together would've been like.
It just feels dumb to purposely write a bad ending and basically say that if Bell doesn't end up with Ais then the world is doomed!!!
I'm a Bell x Ais fan but now I feel sour on the ship because it feels like he HAS to be with her rather than him wanting to be with her.
Out of all the projects here, the web novel based on Danmachi prototype is the one that sounds really interesting.
I wonder what projects 7-10 could be
I think SO12 gave that epic conclusion feel which makes it very weird now that it is continuing.
However, I don't mind. More Danmachi is great and I am definitely interested to see where SO is going now.
Also Lefiya with short hair, looks great!
No. Bell's father is already confirmed to be a member of the Zeus familia and they perished at the hands of the OEBD
I thought it was kind of funny. Still fanservice and ridiculous premise like season 2 OVA, but I think it works a lot better this time since I actually laughed at how ridiculous it is.
Anyway what are you thoughts if you watched it?
Around the same time as OVA. Fair enough
Well Tales of Crestoria is okay and if this Danmachi game is similar to that then it will also be okay
I like Ryuu but Bell should end up with Ais because plot demands it to be
@YOULIKEAMV The Knight of Knight isn't confirmed to be the other level 7.
Grand Day event in Danmemo is not canon but the things concerning world building is canon. Finn saying that the Knight of Knight could keep Ottar in check was when Ottar was lower level.
Ottar is level 7 now so unless the Knight of Knight is the other level 7 then he probably wouldn't be able to keep Ottar in check anymore.
The Knight of Knight themself is canon even though they were mentioned in a non canon game event. They will appear in the future according to the author.
Some say he was Knight of knight who was said to be able to keep Ottar in check but as Angelo once said, it hasn't really been stated that the "Knight of Knight" is the other level 7.
The author did say they have a character design for the knight of knight already and that the author is planning on them appearing in the future. They might be the other level 7 or they might not be. Who knows.
In my opinion though I think the other level 7 is a woman just because of my weird "royal family" theory thing
The author has built up Ais as a sort of end goal and for the author to then not do it would be just ridiculous.
It's like if in Naruto he never becomes Hokage or in One piece Luffy nevers finds the One piece.
It just would be plain silly honestly and bad writing in my opinion.
Ais is the only choice in the end because that's what the series has been building up and she isn't even my favorite girl. No one and harem is trash choices and if the author does it then they are definitely trash.
Ais is the only acceptable ending
It is definitely going to be 12 episodes without a doubt and its 99% likely going to cover the entire expedition arc of vol 12-14.
Vol 12 can be done in 3 episodes since it isn't really plot heavy and mostly just a volume to show Bell's growth.
Vol 13 is going to be 4 episodes and Vol 14 is 5 episodes.
The anime has always cut and rushed stuff, it is just focused on getting the essential story beats there.
The animation is going to be meh, J.C. staff animation for this series isn't even impressive apart from maybe one scene in each season.
I'm not as hateful about the anime as others but as long as I get to see some scenes from the novel come to life then it will be an "okay" anime.
Why was this not just included in volume 16 or something...
I'm not surprised J.C. Staff is doing it again, Danmachi is pretty popular.
I like that the "IV" in the logo is now green which is a color very associated with Ryuu
