Dear mr potato, i see your power scaling logic. yes at level 6, bell should be able to overpower ottar. against a monster that charms, bell should be able to have the striking power of a level 9+.

Given bell needs to match ais' level and 5 months or so remaining in the year, bell should at least reach 6 and perhaps 7 given reasonable advancing opportunities such as bottom of dungeon. at that point, he should have the striking power of 10+ against charm using monster...

@Gupnut - wow i see what you mean. only you have a much more thorough knowledge than i do lol. i was only reasoning from a top level logical basis...

With ln18 wait being so long, i went away for a long time being busy with working on startup business. it is nice to see that discussion. pretty interesting about the mother of monsters. i remember a discussion about gaia, but nothing about echidna. just googled and found all the offsprings of echidna...

I will hang out here for a little more while the ln18 buzz is on before going off to work and travel. cheers

bell abilities vs oebd / corrupted spirit

The author tends to confer capabilities to bell and added characters that allow the story to 'work' even if bell/hestia familia are lower level. haruhime and welf swords are examples, as well as bell's argonaut and ox slayer.

I suspect the new magic against charm is another one. since freya is defeated, this suggests that at least one, if not both, of the big remaining bosses have charm capability.

Corrupted spirit is definitely a strong possibility, but i suspect oebd also has a way to mess with opponents' heads. that could explain why level 8 and 9 teams were killed if they cannot display their full strength. and it would be another way how bell may win despite not achieving level 10 by the end of the year. you could have argonaut + bonus from enemy trying to charm that essentially allow him to launch attacks at 2+ levels above his level. at current level 5, this would be level 7+ equivalent attack. as a sanity check, he was able to hurt ottar at peak 7 while at early 5.

Bell's usage of argonaut is very limited, but i think a fully charged argonaut is at least a couple 'levels' above lil lafarga, even with avenger.

If it is group warfare, then bell arguably benefits a group as much as ais did. basically argonaut and ariel provides a similar amount of value.

If it is one on one, then ais easily wins as ariel is instant power while argonaut takes time to charge. while firebolt is also instantaneous, it is far weaker than ariel.

Arm wrestling wise, it is getting close. i think he matches ais stats after reaching level 5.

<p>it was mentioned in danmemo that if a god dies in the dungeon, there would be no return to heaven. </p><p>so my guess is that there were a couple renergade gods that went to the dungeon before all the main gods descended. at least one was absorbed and became a part of the dungeon and/or oebd. </p><p>regarding the promised time when the underworld merges with the surface world, i would one side would prevail. </p>

But a hero and king are different aren't they? A king takes care of an entire kingdom,while a hero can be for one person too,not necessarily for everyone. If she tried to charm him,and he resisted it due to his love for AIS,and she knows it,then maybe she will claim him so he can be her hero because of jealousy. I mean no one could resist her full charm,so if bell does it because of his love for another person,then won't she be jealous? Maybe it will make her even more possessive.</div> <p>bell is supposed to be immune to charm. </p><p>remember bell's soul when it became more cloudy and freya freaked out? </p>

<p>haruhime has already boosted bete in so12. so it is too late for limiting level 6 to level 7. </p><p>unless you want bell to one-shot the oebd as a level '10', you will likely need haruhime boosting a large number of people. </p><p>given the pace of progress, bell can reach level 7, 8 or even 9 in the number of volumes remaining. </p><p>but the other main characters will not likely advance more than 1 level. a time skip is also unlikely given the pace of bell's progress compared to everyone else. </p><p>ottar may be reach 8 and would be 9 with a boost. </p><p>assuming a showdown with the corrupted spirit, the loki executives could be level 7 before the end, and thus level 8 with a boost to fight oebd. </p><p>given that a level 8 and 9 existed with zeus/hera familias (along with probably a horde of level 7), haruhime's boosting would likely be necessary to kill oebd. that is likely one reason why she was put in there for the end game. </p>

<p>i really dont understand why there is any more disagreement over this. the hestia familia will party with loki and other familias when it makes sense for firepower requirements. </p><p>we have already seen it in so12 and dm12. and the author is make it possible as the hestia members were able to survive in the difficult knossos battle. welf fighting with a demi spirit. haruhime surviving during the fight with filvis/ein.... etc. and they got out relatively unscathed when they both should probably have been severely injured or dead. </p>

Yeah I find it funny that in Volume 1 that Bete Loga said that a lower class person has no business with Ais Wallenstein. Yet his Captain one of the most powerful First Classed Adventurers proposed marriage to a Supporter who was Level 1 at the time before she just recently ranked up to Level 2. </div> <p>that is very simple. the guy is supposed to be stronger - it is asian manga afterall. </p>

<p>as far as i am concerned, there is nothing wrong with ripoff. i just was surprised at the similiarity. </p><p>mc that looks exactly like a 5 year old bell to me. in fact, i opened it because i was curious after looking at the picture. i actually was curious if omoori did another chibi version. </p><p>there are other similarity forgetting about looks. for example another pantheons of gods interested in entertainment because they are bored. </p>
