Allen Fromel (アレン・フローメル) is the vice-captain of the Freya Familia.
Appearance[]
Allen is small with blue eyes (yellow in the anime) and black hair, along with cat ears and a tail. Despite his size, he has a penetrating gaze, so intense that it frightens others, and his very presence seems violent, as if he could explode at any moment. His features are attractive but are not usually considered as such due to how dangerous he looks.
Allen is only sparsely clad in armor. The little he uses is not designed to defend against attacks, out of the simple reason that he is the fastest in the city. His armor consists of a single silver shoulder protector covering his left shoulder. Extending from it is an emerald pelisse, a one-sided cloak. Additionally, he wears silver leg protectors covering his legs from his knee downwards.
Personality[]
Allen is quite cocky and arrogant. He looks down upon everyone and is incredibly disrepectful when addressing them, be it ally or foe. He is also an extremely temperamental person, usually seeming like he is about to explode when annoyed, coupled with a constantly aggressive demeanor.
Like the other members of the Freya Familia, Allen is extremely loyal to Freya. Because he wants Freya's love for himself, he is hostile towards the other members of his Familia, whom he sees as an obstacle and with whom he maintains a bad relationship of mutual hatred, as well as being jealous of Bell due to the attention he receives from Freya. Similarly, motivated by his devotion to his Goddess, he constantly seeks to strengthen himself so as to be worthy of her.
He hates Freya's self-indulgent nature as he finds it quite problematic and has on occassions even suggested to keep her restrained in a specific place. Nonetheless, he has come to terms that said aspect is part of Freya's nature. As such, he believes denying her the chance to follow her desires and control her would make Freya lose what makes her who she is, and so prefers to remain annoyed than have it his way.
He is also poison tongued, telling Ais to go die during the Loki Familia expedition. According to Syr, his tongue is sensitive to hot food, mentioning that he secretly blows on hot drinks to cool them down before drinking them. His height is implied to be a sensitive topic for him, regarding which he has a particularly violent reaction.
Allen is the older brother of Anya Fromel, however, they have both cut all ties with each other. Despite his attitude towards her, calling her even the person he hates the most in the world, Freya pointed out that Allen still loves her, which was demonstrated when he saw her while under the effects of Seale's curse, which made the opponent see their most loved one. His harsh and abusive attitude was in truth an extreme way of protecting his sister, having chosen to hate her and push her away so that she wouldn't die like the rest of their family.
Allen's goal is to kill the One-Eyed Black Dragon to avenge the death of his parents and ensure Anya's happiness, as he believes it won't be secured until the black monster is slain. He wanted to stay with Freya and remained devoted to his Goddess since he believed that by doing so he could become stronger, allowing him to fulfill his goal.
History[]
When Allen was four years old he lost his parents and home, being forced to wander through the ruins of a kingdom along with his sister Anya. During this time he protected her, having to fight monsters on some occasions and escape from them on others. It was like this for two years until they met Freya, who offered them to go with her, which he accepted.
As a member of the Freya Familia, Allen participated in daily battles with other members, reaching Level 2 a year after joining. Subsequently, he continued to grow surprisingly, ranking up several times at an accelerated rate while gaining recognition.
During an expedition to the dungeon, he saved his sister from death, ending up seriously injured in the process, after which he told her that he did not want to see her again, severing his ties with her ever since.
He reached Level 6 seven years ago during Orario's Dark Age after the events of the Great Feud. At some point in the past, he was given the position of vice-captain after Hedin turned it down, having recognized Allen's resolve as stronger than his own.
Abilities[]
As a Level 6, Allen is extremely powerful. He could effortlessly wipe out an entire unit composed of 10,000 soldiers from Warusa's army, a force which included multiple Level 2s and 3s.
Exceptional Physical Prowess: As a Level 6, Allen's physical abilities are all extremely superior to those of a normal person. In terms of raw physical prowess, his abilities are also far superior to those of any Level 5 or below.
Exceptional Strength: Allen possess a formidable strength capable of producing powerful shockwaves whose power sent tremors through the entire Water City, an area made up of three floors each of which boast dimensions greater than half the size of Orario, as a side effect of his, Hogni's, and the Gulliver Brothers' assault against Ottar. He can also cover great distances of hundreds of meters in a single jump.
Extraordinary Speed, Agility and Reflexes: Allen is nicknamed the "fastest in the city" and is able to move at speeds that only a first class adventurer can keep track of; to everyone else he appears to teleport or have not moved at all. Using his speed, he is able to use a hit and run tactic to fight his enemies.
In the Great Faction War, Allen outpaced a Bell under the effects of Haruhime's level boost and Hedin's Laurus Hildr, who thanks to his speed briefly dominated a beastified Ottar, himself a Level 7 with Agility practically maxed out and who thanks to his transformation gained a Level 8's prowess, shortening the great distance between them despite the boy's best efforts. It wasn't until the young adventurer received another speed boost from his development ability Escape that he managed to outrun his pursuer.
Exceptional Durability: Allen endured suffering an Ignis Fatuus and taking an attack from Welf's Shikou Kazuki.
Exceptional Stamina: Allen could kill a complete unit of 10,000 soldiers without showing any sign of fatigue afterwards.
Skilled Fighter: As an experienced warrior, Allen is extremely skilled with his spear, easily able to match Ais' expertise with her sword. His prowess allowed him to rank up quickly to the point of matching, if not surpassing, Ottar's own rank up rate.
Enhanced Senses: As a Human Beast, Allen had very keen senses far better than those of most normal people. After acquiring his falna his senses sharpened even further. His senses further improved with each subsequent rank up.
Magic[]
Gralineze Fromel (グラリネーゼ・フローメル): Gralineze Fromel extremely increases Allen's speed, with his speed raising even further the more he runs. Its destructive power also increases the more he accelerates, and there is theoretically no limit to how fast he can become. Allen himself is unable to keep up with his own speed, causing him to carelessly charge against anything in his path, whether enemy or ally. The magic covers him in a silvery blue flash.
It was described as his fastest attack and is so powerful that Ottar would have to use all of his power to defend against it, being said that if he failed to perfectly defend against it the attack would definitely kill him. Allen can chant while he is in combat by jumping around to distance himself from his enemies and continue his chant, doing it repeatedly until he finishes. He can also chant while he's moving, but if he's running at high speeds Allen needs to slow down in order to recite his chant.
Equipment[]
Spear: Allen wields a spear with a silver design that is a match to his sister's gold spear.

- Allen's alias, Vana Freya, is a reference to Freya's chariot from Norse mythology that is pulled by two cats.
