Caam (カーム) was the village elder of Edas Village, located in the Beol Mountains. He was also a member and captain of the Brigid Familia.
Appearance[]
Caam was an elderly human with a thin build. He had a thin beard and wrinkled face with grayish white hair. His eyes reflected complex emotions of a man who had seen a lot.
Personality[]
Caam was kind and generous to everyone he met. He sympathized with lost travelers who found their way to his village and always treated them with open arms because he used to be one. As a result, the villagers of his village are exceptionally friendly and open to new arrivals. He was also shown to be a big-hearted man, as he took in orphans and adopted them. He was beloved by his adopted children and the villagers.
Caam used to be deeply in love with his goddess, a feeling that remained with him even in old age. Being her only follower, he swore to protect her with his life. Unfortunately, his goddess sacrificed herself to save his life. Consequently, he fell into despair and lost his reason to live. He decided to cast away his life by wandering aimlessly until he found his way to a village whose villagers greeted him with open arms. Realizing that he mustn't abandon the life his goddess gave him, he decided to devote himself to the village. Throughout his life, he still blamed himself for being unable to protect his goddess that he swore to love, and he never married or had kids of his own.
After seeing Hestia, he was reminded of his beloved goddess. He then became over-protective of her. He told Bell his story so that Bell doesn't live life with the regrets he had.
