DanMachi III Episode 12

Argonaut (英雄回帰(アルゴノウト)) is the twelfth and final episode of the third season of the DanMachi anime.

Synopsis[]

As Hermes finally reveals his true intentions, Bell battles the most powerful opponent he's ever faced.

Plot[]

Hermes speaks with the Xenos and causes them to attack civilians, which prompts a response from Bell in hopes that he will slay them to restore his shattered reputation. Gros attacks Eina Tulle, but Bell steps in to protect her. Hestia, having uncovered Hermes' plot, rushes their aid. Gros begins to fight seriously, hoping that he can force Bell to kill him, but Bell refuses to do so. Asterius appears and challenges Bell to a battle. Bell recognizes the beast as one he had already beaten in a dungeon and accepts the challenge.

Hestia uses the moment to get Gros and the other Xenos out of harm's way. Bell fights against Asterius with all of the might he can muster, but in the end, the Minotaur comes out on top. Having claimed victory, Asterius moves toward the dungeon, promising to fight with Bell again in the future. Fels heals the Xeno as they move toward the dungeon, and Asterius heads to a deeper level where he plans to train and grow stronger in preparation for the next time he and Bell meet. With the problem finally resolved, the Hestia Familia searches for a way to allow both Xeno and Human kind to coexist side by side. Meanwhile, Bell makes up with Ais and requests for the latter to train him further in preparation for his rematch with Asterius.
