Aspiration (遠い夢(アコガレ)) is the fourth episode of the third season of the DanMachi anime.

Synopsis[]

There are others like Wiene, and they call themselves Xenos. Uranus asks much from the Hestia Familia, but if anyone can bridge the gap between species, it's them.

Plot[]

Hestia and Ouranus continue their discussion as the Xenos host a party for Wiene, Bell, and the Hestia Familia. After being asked, Ouranus also reveals to Hestia that there is one other that knows of Wiene and the Xenos, Ganesha. Meanwhile, Dix Perdix and the Ikelos Familia worry over the Guild discovering their smuggling business as they try to regain their tail on the Hestia Familia.

Fels arrives at the Xenos' village, to Bell's surprise. He soon explains that he is the point of contact between Ouranus and the Xenos, and that he was tasked of monitoring the behavior of him and Wiene. Upon being asked if he is human, he states that he is, or at least once was, removing his hood to reveal he is a Spartoi Monster. It is also stated that he is the Sage, creator of the Philosopher's Stone. While the Xenos speak of their dreams, Uranus tells Hestia that the Xenos are reincarnated from the souls of monsters who have died many times.

As Bell and company prepare to depart, Lyd consumes a Magic Stone and explains that Monsters attack them just like they would humans, due to being a hybrid of Monster and Human, and encourages them not to hesitate when fighting Monsters as it could cost them their life if they are not careful. Wiene unwillingly stays with the rest of the Xenos while the Hestia Familia return to Hestia. The Xenos begin their trek when Wiene suddenly hears one of their brethren crying for help. As they approach the Siren, Dix steps out of the shadows, stating that the Siren's squeals worked as the perfect lure to attract the Xenos.
