Knossos (
Synopsis[]
Bell shouldn't get involved. But the young adventurer has already decided otherwise. Little does he know that he'll help Fels discover a secret even Uranus doesn't know.
Plot[]
Gros interrogates one of the individuals that Ranye shot her venom on, asking where they are. He tells Gros where to go, but after he flies away, states that he won't be able to get through the door. The Ganesha Familia and Bell discover Gros and his party, but the Ganesha Familia are intercepted by Lyd and his party, clashing with them. Bell gets a moment alone with Lyd, and asks if they really attacked the town. Lyd confirms his suspicions, but explains that they did so because of the hunters who took Wiene and Fear. He tells Bell to not get involved in the business of Monsters, though Bell insists on some way he can help, before Ryuu slices Lyd believing him to be a danger to Bell. After Lyd gets away, Ryuu tells Bell to return to the Ganesha Familia, but he states that he is going to follow Lyd. Ryuu informs him that he is getting tied to an illicit organization, Evilus, a group she wishes to destroy. She asks him to return to the surface with her, as Syr had been worried sick, but his silence gives her the answer that he won't. She gives him a pouch with an item inside of it before leaving. While trying to catch up with Lyd, Fels meets up with Bell and helps direct him to where he should be. Upon arriving to their destination, they are unable to find the door, until the item that Ryuu gave Bell begins glowing, revealing itself as a key.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Hestia Familia try to discretely search for the smugglers' hideout, which leads Lili to take the party to the jail where Zanis is imprisoned, believing that he may know where the smugglers are due to his connections to selling monsters, to which he tips them off that they may find something interesting on Daedalus Street.
The Xenos party arrive inside the smugglers' hideout, managing to free their brethren, though Wiene is nowhere to be seen. Dix Perdix soon walks out, bringing in more members of the Ikelos Familia to stand against the Xenos, effectively using the captured Xenos as bait to trap them, until Bell runs in to side with the Xenos. After a discussion between Fels and Dix about how he got a hold of Daedalus' Man-made Labyrinth; Knossos, it is revealed that Dix is a descendent of Daedalus' bloodline after removing his goggles to show his red eyes; something that all descendants of Daedalus have. It is explained that the reason for the Ikelos Familia allying themselves with Evilus and selling the Xenos were for the funds to complete Daedalus' legacy, Knossos. Dix then casts a hex, Phobetor Daedalus, which stupefies and confuses the Xenos, causing them to act out in violent behavior and even attack one another. Meanwhile, Arles makes her way to them alongside the comrade she was sent to get, Asterius.
