Party (
Synopsis[]
When a bar fight erupts between Bell's party and the Apollo Familia, the consequences result in a banquet invitation.
Plot[]
In the Mid-Level, Dungeon, Bell, Welf, Lili, and Mikoto, fight against a pack of Hellhounds. After the fight, Bell thanks Mikoto for her hard work, who, in turn, thanks him as it was her request that they're there. As his group continues talking amongst each other, Bell notes his conviction to one day reach the same level as Ais.
That night, Bell and company celebrate Welf reaching Rank 2. Lili mentions that since Welf reached Rank 2 he'll leave the party as his goal was to gain the ability Forge at his current Rank. Welf, however, reassures the group that he plans on staying in the party, but notes that Mikoto should have joined them as well. As the group talks about Bell Ranking up again, they're approached by a Pallum from the Apollo Familia who disparages the group. Before Bell could make a move against the Pallum, Welf knocks him out with his mug of ale. Although Bell and Welf manage to knock out most of the Apollo Familia members, one of them easily beats the two single-handidly. Had it not been for Bete standing up for Bell, the Apollo Familia member would have finished off Bell.
Afterward at the church, Hestia tends to Bell's wounds, while Lili tends to Welf's. Admittedly thankful that Bell stood up for her, Hestia advises Bell to not fret over her next time. Hestia then inquires which group exactly that beat them up and Lili, reveals that it was the Apollo Familia, that irks Hestia.
The following day, Bell is lightly reprimanded by Eina at the Guild about the fight he got into with the Apollo Familia. After his meeting with Eina, a couple of representatives from the Apollo Familia give Bell a letter to deliver to Hestia. Later, at the church, Hestia reads the letter and reveals that it's a special invitation to a banquet of the gods. Not wanting to go alone, Hestia plans to invite Miach and Takemikazuchi along as well.
On the night of the banquet, Hestia and Bell wait outside the Apollo Familia base until they're joined by Miach and Naaza. Figuring that Takemikazuchi is already there, they all go inside the base. Inside, they're greeted by Hermes who's accompanied by Takemikazuchi, Asfi, and Mikoto. Soon the host of the party Apollo appears accompanied by three of members of his Familia all of whom Bell is acquainted with. After Appollo gives a lofty speech the party commences. While everyone enjoys themself during the party, Hermes approaches Bell and divulges some information about Apollo and his relationship with the man.
As soon as Freya and her companion Ottar arrive at the party, she greets Hestia and her friends. The moment Freya tries to get close with Bell, Hestia immediately reprimands her. Noting that she's crossed the line with Hestia, Freya walks off with Ottar. Loki and Ais then approach Hestia and Bell, causing a heated argument between the two goddesses and worsens after Loki gauges Bell. Sick and tired of each other, Loki and Hestia separate while Ais and Bell follow their respective goddess.
Not able to handle the gregarious nature of the party, Bell hangs outside on the balcony. It's out there that Bell spots the man he had the confrontation with at the restaurant talking with someone. The moment the Apollo Familia member notices Bell eavesdropping on their conversation, Hermes arrives and asks to talk with Bell. At a different location, Hermes asks Bell why he became an adventurer. Bell answers that it was because his Grandfather inspired him to. Hermes then asks if Bell wants to ask someone to dance, but he refuses. So, Hermes decides that he wants to dance with someone and chooses Ais. Hermes then approaches Ais and asks her to dance with him, but then he remembers that he has a prior commitment and volunteers Bell to take his place.
Roped into dancing with Ais, Bell and his dance partner begin dancing on the ballroom floor. Their dance exasperates their respective goddesses who were restrained by Asfi. Freya perhaps seriously asks Ottar if she could summon a horde of Minotaurs there, to which Ottar claims it's impossible. Ais and Bell's dance continues until the lights are turned off with the exception of one lit above the two. The host of the party Apollo confronts Bell and is immediately shielded by Hestia. Seeking retribution for the damages caused by Hestia's Familia and challenge them to a War Game.
