Dina (ディナ) and Vena (ヴェナ) Dis (ディース), also known as the Dis Sisters (ディース姉妹), were the captain and vice captain of the Alecto Familia respectively.

Appearance[]

The Dis sisters were a pair of young and innocent looking Elves. The older sister, Dina, was a White Elf with soft white skin like that of a baby that knows no sin and golden hair. Meanwhile the younger sister, Vena, was a Dark Elf with sensually beautiful skin reminiscent of a forbidden fruit and silver hair.

The sisters were symmetrically equal. For clothing they donned a pair of matching, rather revealing outfits that resembled that of a dancer. Their long hair was arranged in two pigtails, which further contributed to their childish looks. They also had weird teardrop-shaped tattoos each on one of their cheeks; Dina on the left and Vena on the right.

They had a petite frame standing at around 150 centimeters tall and looked quite young, as if they were 14 or 15, even though they were actually over 70 years old.

Personality[]

In contrast to their innocent and childish appearance, the Dis sisters were in fact a duo of man-eating flowers who devoured and killed people as soon as they used them to vent their desires. They used to speak vulgarly with a happy and enthusiastic tone when talking about their sadistic desires as well as when expressing intense emotions and sensations out loud, making their attitude was frequently contradictory to their words and intentions. Vena addressed her older sister in a very respectful manner, while Dina spoke to her more casually. They were also called "true chuunibyou" and "psychopathic sisters" by the Gods.

The best word to describe them was "broken." They were sadistic women who took great delight in chaos and carnage. Captivated by pleasure and the grotesque, they experienced supreme pleasure in killing people in incredibly cruel ways. Along with Valletta, they were the ones who had undoubtedly killed the most adventurers and innocent civilians. The sisters would often kill anyone who bothered them, whether ally or enemy, making even the other members of their own familia nervous. However, they were not stupid and knew when to refrain from following their sadistic impulses so as not to cause problems for themselves and their allies.

They were the archenemies of Hogni and Hedin whom they loved as much as they hated them; Dina was infatuated with Hogni and Vena with Hedin. They had become obsessed with them since their first confrontation and had countless more clashes since then with the pair, who became the people they most wanted to kill. In their interactions with them the sisters demonstrated both feelings in their own psychopathic ways, like declaring their longing for them while saying how they wanted to kill them and what they wanted to do with their corpses later. They also tended to make fun of them in the middle of their fights.

Because they were so heretical to their races, the Dis sisters were often called "apparitions" rather than "fairies" like the rest of the Elves. This greatly bothered both since they saw themselves as true "fairies", to the point of making them lose their usual cheerful attitude and take on a serious and angry one and expressions, unable to see the difference between themselves and other Elves. The sisters were the ultimate example of those among the Elves incomparable to the rest.

The two were a mass of contradictions that forced them to deviate from the definition of "fairy" while still retaining a strong complex regarding the purity and beauty of Elves. Hogni speculated that this disturbed state could have been due to terrible events in their past such as persecution or discrimination. Because of their complex, Vena showed an adverse reaction to seeing Dina's decapitated head, throwing it aside and refusing to believe that was her sister.

Because the sisters had been mentally broken for a long time, they shared a deep bond of codependency in which they completely required each other to remain stable and could easily break in the absence of the other. When Dina died Vena suffered a mental breakdown and desperately searched for her sister, seeing her in Hedin until her own death, when the Elf murdered her shortly after.

Abilities[]

Their combat ability far surpassed that of the Spirit Soldiers.

Massive Physical Prowess: As Level 5s, Dina's and Vena's physical abilities were all extremely superior to those of a normal person. In terms of raw physical prowess, their abilities were also far superior to those of any Level 4 or below.

Massive Endurance: The Dis sisters expressed no pain even while their bodies were covered in injuries. Additionally, Vena was shown to have a high tolerance to pain as she could still move after being stabbed in the chest and suffering an Ignis Fatuus that almost killed her.

Expert Teamwork: The Dis sisters exhibited an impeccable coordination. While Vena used her magic to perform mid-range and long-range attacks, Dina skillfully wielded her swords in close combat to engage her opponents. Dina's individual skills were so refined that she was able to take on fellow Level 5 Hogni for an extended period of time. Together they were able to fight and pressure Level 5s Hedin and Hogni at the same time, though they were ultimately defeated by the duo.

Enhanced Senses: As Elves, the Dis sisters had a very good eyesight. After acquiring their falna all of their senses became much sharper than those of a normal person, with their eyesight still being particularly superior to the rest. Their senses further improved with each subsequent rank up.

Magic[]

Diaval Dis (ディアルヴ・ディース): Diaval Dis was a fire magic that created up to ten magic circles above Vena's targets and, upon activating, made pillars of fire shoot down on them from above. A single pillar was shown able to clash with the Varian Hildr of a Level 5 Hedin, with them ultimately neutralizing each other.

Diaval Otua (ディアルヴ・オチュア): Diaval Otua allowed Vena to shoot countless dark fireballs, causing extensive damage over a wide area.

Unnamed Magic: Vena's third magic was a rare magic that set flames to anything that she considered a "heresy", meaning she could use it against her opponents without having to worry about Dina, and was impossible to evade. It had a wide range as Vena used it to target Hedin while he was 10 meters away from her.

Curse[]

Diaval Stige (ディアルヴ・スティージュ): Diaval Stige was Dina's curse that caused a temporary mix of stats with a person she directly touched. It took half of the other person's strength and agility stats and added those points to Dina's status, and as a cost, it transfered the same amount of points from Dina's endurance and magic stats to that person. It was a unique and terrifying curse also known as Status Exchange (血肉(ステイタス)交換).

When activated, a red light coated Dina before going on to also cover the other person she was touching. Dina and Vena often used the curse between them, and despite its drawbacks, they did not represent a cost for the sisters. Dina, who focused in close combat, received a large boost to her melee abilities, while Vena, who was the one that was more of a mage between the two, received a boost in her magic power output. The mix of stats absolutely strengthened the teamwork of the sisters, who shared the vanguard and rearguard positions.

Although while under the effects of Diaval Stige Dina was limited to melee combat and Vena to magic combat, their statuses exhibited Level 6 power. However, their reduced stats could be exploited by their enemies, as they became significantly inferior to other Level 5s in those aspects. With her curse active, Dina was greatly affected by a Level 5 Hedin's Varian Hildr, while a Level 5 Hogni could endure the same attack.

Equipment[]

Stilleto (騎士を救う安楽剣(スティレット)): Stilleto were a pair of short swords which Dina wielded in combat.

Magic Swords: During Hogni's and Dina's fight, Vena used magic swords to keep the rest of Freya Familia members away.
