Alfrigg (アルフリッグ), Dvalinn (ドヴァリン), Berling (ベーリング), and Grer (グレール) Gulliver (ガリバー), more commonly known as the Gulliver Brothers (ガリバー兄弟), are four executives of the Freya Familia. They are the reincarnations of Alf, Deval, Belin, and Gren respectively.
Appearance[]
The Gulliver Brothers wear sand colored armor along with full face helmets of the same color. They look the same and the only way to tell them apart is by the color of their eyes; Alfrigg's are light blue, Dvalinn's are yellow, Berling's are green, and Grer's are red. Along with their armor, the brothers each wear two long pieces of cloth, one attached to their breastplates and one on their backs, the colors of which match the color of each one's eyes.
Personality[]
The Gulliver Brothers are extremely loyal to Freya and will carry out any order they receive. Because they want Freya's love only for themselves, they are hostile towards the rest of Freya Familia, whom they see as an obstacle and with whom they maintain a bad relationship of mutual hatred. They are also shown to be jealous of Bell because of the attention he receives from her. However, after training with him they have developed a bit of respect for him and consider Bell a warrior.
Whenever they speak, they are able to relay their will to each other without hesitation, making it seem like someone is talking to themselves. They are shown to not like Finn that much, stating that they were better off teaming up with Gareth than the former.
The brothers have always been very similar, even their personalities are very similar. However, Alfrigg always believed that his role as the older brother was to keep his siblings in line, so he grew up being more serious than his brothers. For that reason, Alfrigg often tries to keep his brothers in line and stop them when they start to get out of control. However, none of them recognize him as an authority figure and ignore him on every occasion. However, although they do not respect him, they feel an intense fear towards his angry side.
Although he usually does not show it, Alfrigg becomes extremely aggressive once he is provoked enough and persists in assaulting the target of his anger even long after killing it. His anger lasts and is noticeably more intense than that of his brothers, who were frightened when they saw it for the first time. Because of this, the rest of the brothers are careful to never push him to his breaking point.
Alfrigg likes the idea of other Pallums growing up as adventurers, expressing joy over Lili's rank up. He has also shown excellent intelligence and instinct typical of a first-class adventurer, able to make a correct assessment and judgment quickly even while in the middle of a battle.
The brothers were amazed by Freya from the first time they saw her. They held her in very high esteem, creating a high-quality necklace for her with great enthusiasm and experiencing a homicidal rage upon learning that their Dwarf boss had stained her by sleeping with her. Since then they follow her devoutly, seeing her offering herself to the Dwarf as a sacrifice she made for them. Having never desired anything before, her love became the only thing they desire.
Despite having been a long time ago and Freya's own words back then, the Gulliver brothers sorrowfully lamented such an event, vowing that they would never let anyone stain or hurt her again. Because of this, they wanted Freya to remain a Goddess instead of becoming a city girl, that is, to adopt her Syr alter ego as her true self, since they believed that if she remained a Goddess nothing could hurt her.
History[]
The Gulliver Brothers were famous artisans who worked in the store of a Dwarf. One day Freya visited the store and asked them to make her a necklace. After spending four days making it, the Dwarf told them that they could leave, revealing that Freya had agreed to sleep with him in exchange for them.
Hearing this, the brothers were enraged and killed the Dwarf. Seeing her act as a sacrifice performed for them, the four of them swore their loyalty to Freya and went with her.
After becoming adventurers, they began to stand out within Freya Familia by ranking up several times at an accelerated rate. They reached Level 5 seven years ago after the Great Feud after defeating four Spirit Soldiers of the Apate Familia.
Abilities[]
As Level 5s, the Gulliver Brothers are extremely powerful, able to effortlessly defeat two units composed of a total of 20,000 soldiers from Warusa's army, a force which included multiple Level 2s and 3s.
Massive Physical Prowess: As Level 5s, the Gulliver brothers' physical abilities are all extremely superior to those of a normal person. In terms of raw physical prowess, their abilities are also far superior to those of any Level 4 or below.
Massive Strength: The Gulliver Brothers possess formidable strength capable of producing powerful shockwaves whose force sent tremors through the entire Water City, an area made up of three floors each of which boast dimensions greater than half the size of Orario, as a side effect of the assault they made in conjunction with Allen and Hogni against Ottar.
Despite being under the weakening effects of Anya's Remiste Felis, they were still strong enough to move while trapped by the Futsunomitama of a pseudo Level 3 Mikoto, although she left them on purpose, with Mikoto managing to retain Berling according to Lili's plan. For his part, even in that weakened state Berling managed to free himself after gathering all of his strength, though it took him quite some time. Even after being seriously wounded and still in his weakened state, Alfrigg proved to be strong enough to wield his brothers' weapons and perform an attack said to be capable of finishing off Lunoire with one of them.
Massive Speed, Agility, and Reflexes: The Gulliver Brothers have proved able to follow Allen's movements, moving to intercept his enraged attack against Arry, even though it all happened so fast that Arry was unable to see anything at all or even realize what had happened. Despite his weakened state and being seriously injured, Alfrigg's reaction speed was high enough to respond to the attacks of Aisha, Lunoire, Chloe, and Mikoto.
Massive Durability: The Gulliver Brothers were able to withstand the Futsunomitama from Mikoto, level boosted to Level 3, as well as a Burst Oil from Asfi at point-blank range in succession, even while under the weakening effects of Anya's Remiste Felis. Furthermore, Grer received a flurry of countless blows from a pseudo Level 5 Lunoire and Alfrigg was hit by the Hell Kaios of a pseudo Level 5 Aisha, although both ended up defeated by said attacks.
Massive Endurance and Stamina: The Gulliver brothers have high physical stamina. In the war against Warusa they defeated 20,000 soldiers and killed many of them without showing any signs of fatigue after the battle. For his part, Alfrigg also exhibits a notorious pain tolerance. In the Great Factional War, he got up soon after being defeated to continue fighting despite being in such a condition that it was incomprehensible that he could move, with a deep cut on his chest and looking like he was about to collapse at any moment. Despite his critical condition, he stood up to face Aisha, Lunaire, Chloe and Mikoto, who were impressed to see him get up and what he was still capable of.
Expert Teamwork: The Gulliver Brothers are shown to exhibit exceptional teamwork, moving as if they were one entity. Their teamwork is said to be the best in the city and they are said to be able to win against any first class adventurer by working together, easily being equal to a Level 6 when fighting in sync. They can perfectly coordinate as long as they can see each other regardless of the distance they are separated by. They are proficient fighters whose prowess allowed them to rank up quickly to the point of matching, if not surpassing, Ottar's own rank up rate.
Beyond their statuses, the Gulliver brothers each stand out in a different ability. Grer possesses incredible observation skills, picking up on his opponents' habits and abilities, including their strengths and weaknesses. Berling excels at searching for enemies, checking for the possibility of an ambush or surprise attack in the middle of a battle. Dvalinn is proficient in detecting magic, figuring out the magical abilities of his opponents. Finally, Alfrigg, who has calculation skills better than anyone else's, makes quick decisions based on his brothers' analyses.
Despite their astonishing degree of skill as warriors, if they are separated their combat capabilities are severely reduced. Each brother usually wields only his own weapon, but in the Great Faction War Alfrigg resorted to using his brothers' greatsword and greataxe to confront the remaining members of the alliance. He proved capable of wielding both at the same time to repel their joint assault. However, it is unknown exactly how proficient he is with them.
Communication: The Gulliver Brothers have always shared a deep connection. Before becoming adventurers they were capable of working together using mostly just grunts, sometimes going through an entire day without exchanging a single word. They are also able to talk to each other even when separated by hundreds of meters as if they were next to each other.
Enhanced Senses: As Pallums, the Gulliver Brothers naturally had a great eyesight that allowed them to see in the dark, able to work in their always dim workshop in the past. After receiving their falnas, all of their senses sharpened significantly, becoming better than those of a normal person. Their senses further improved with each subsequent rank up.
Master Craftsmen: The Gulliver Brothers used to work as craftsmen. They were artisans capable of creating most pieces of jewelry and whose ability earned them a reputation as the greatest craftsman in their city, having become known under a single name, and widespread fame even across the surrounding cities.
Development Abilities[]
Abnormal Resistance (耐異常): Abnormal Resistance negates the effect of abnormalities, such as poison. Dvalinn is known to have it, but it is unconfirmed if his brothers do as well. Dvalinn has a high rank in this development ability, as he was sure that the poison of a Poison Vermis could not defeat him. In spite of being weakened by Anya's Remiste Felis, the ability allowed him to survive receiving multiple cuts with this poison, even after a single one made him vomit blood.
Equipment[]
Weapons: The Gulliver Brothers wield a set of big weapons oversized for their height. Alfrigg wields a spear, Grer a greatsword, Berling a great axe, and Dvalinn a great hammer.
