Hathor (ハトホル) is the head of the Hathor Familia.
Appearance[]
Hathor is a fair-skinned woman with dark hair tied back elegantly, adorned with earrings and a fig necklace, as well as a cow mask that hides the upper part of her face.
Personality[]
Hathor gives off a rather motherly image. Among the male Gods, it is rumored that her maternal instinct is the greatest of all, causing them to want to be pampered like a baby by her. Perhaps she takes a certain pride in the attention she receives from them, as at the idea of a "normie" reverse harem she declared that she would demonstrate what a "true" reverse harem was like. Although the veracity of this is doubtful as she later said that her comment had been a joke.
Hathor is characterized for being a moderate person among the Egyptian Gods.[1] Prior to the Great Faction War, she was named leader of the alliance of Goddesses that hate Freya. However, she actually felt no resentment against the Goddess of Beauty, even though she has been a victim of her Charm just like the rest of Orario. She also does not seem to put much importance to her position as Goddess of Fertility despite the importance given to her for it in the Goddess Festival. Not only it's not the main thing she presides over, but Hathor also sees it only as a little "extra".
History[]
Hathor was on Orario during Zeus and Hera's time, being a "survivor" from that era.[1]
Abilities[]
Divine Perception: As a Goddess, Hathor possesses supernatural perception. Even without a clue, whenever her intuition tells her something it is always correct. She can also immediately tell when a mortal is lying. However, she cannot distinguish lies from other Gods.
Divinity (神威): As a Goddess, Hathor gives off a divine aura that allows mortals to recognize her as a Goddess. She can also release more of her divinity at will to gain an imposing presence.
Arcanum (
- Divine Mirror: Hathor is able to create a mirror that allows her to see any place she wishes in the Lower World. Despite no longer being in Heaven, she is allowed to use it without being sent back, though its use is still restricted.
Trivia[]
- Hathor is based on the goddess of the same name who was one of the main goddesses in Egyptian mythology. Among the various roles she took on, Hathor was a goddess of the sun, music, dance, happiness, love, motherhood, and fertility. She was also often depicted as a cow or, more commonly, a woman wearing a headdress with cow horns.
