Is It Wrong to Feign an Accident to Have an Encounter in the Dungeon? (事故を装ってダンジョンに出会いを求めるのは間違っているでしょうか) is a short story given to those who purchased a digital version of volume 16 of DanMachi.
Summary[]
Halfway through his hellish training for his date with Syr, Hedin told Bell that they would be going to the dungeon. Already on the 13th Floor, Bell asked the reason for them being there. The Elf explained he would spent the next three days flirting as practice for his date.
He would do it in the dungeon so Syr didn't learn of it through rumors. Furthermore, he'd do it with women who suffered accidents to take advantage of the suspension bridge effect, having brought him to that specific floor because it was where the most accidents occurred after the Upper Floors.
The two of them proceeded along the main route until Hedin told Bell that it was the time. After talking about the group he had selected, composed of three men and a woman, Bell noted that they were strong enough to navigate that floor. He was horrified to see that Hedin had caused a Parade Pass to give him the chance to rescue her and how her companions had abandoned her. Bell criticized his master for his methods and rushed to save the helpless Elf.
Laurier for her part accepted this as her punishment, since she had joined that group to extract information from their familia per her God's, Hermes, instructions. Just when the fangs of a Hellhound were about to reach her, Bell arrived to save her and finished off the huge horde of monsters. When the boy turned to look at her, Laurier's heart began to beat faster than it ever had before, just as Hedin had planned.
Forced by his master, Bell desesperately insisted she let him take her to the Upper Floors until she conceded, enthralled by her savior who just so happened to be her type. On the way the two talked about dungeon matters and their private lives. Bell followed Hedin's teachings of praising the good points of his date, a strategy that proved effective as Laurier was blushing more and more. He continued to protect her until they reached the passage to the Upper Floors, at which point he was glad to be done with his first escort, but then Laurier turned to look at him with a determined look.
The Elf repeatedly insisted on repaying him for his kindness until Bell finally agreed. To his dismay, Hedin struck him with lightning as soon as he did so and took him away so quickly that Laurier didn't even see him. Hedin reprimanded him, questioning if he was belittling his date with Syr. His master added that if he interacted with her any further things would become complicated, commenting that there was nothing more troublesome than an innocent young Elf who had experienced an "encounter." After saying that, Hedin declared that they would continue their training, making Bell realize that his battle was not over.
Seeing Bell disappear so suddenly, Laurier wondered if all that had not been a hallucination. However, the coat on her shoulders was proof that it had actually happened. As she hugged it, she wondered when they would meet again. Thus, another passionate fan of the white rabbit was born. Hermes was also surprised to learn that his dependent became so in love with Bell that she did not fulfill her mission.
