Letter to Olna (オルナへの手紙) is a short story included in the deluxe edition of Argonaut.
Summary[]
Argonaut had written a letter for Olna with help from Feena. They were in an island within the Medila Sea searching for a sanctuary. However, even with Feena's magic they had been unable to find it. He theorized their inability to find it, much less enter it, was because of a seal protecting it. That a power even greater than that of Elves or Spirits was at play.
He mentioned his intention of visiting Lakrios but asked her to not go meet him. He was at a loss about how to treat his former friends. He wished to not meet Ariadne as he remembered how she had cried. While he sent his regards to Yuri, Garms, Elmina, and Ryuulu he also knew his words would make them uncomfortable. Argonaut meant to keep his promise of writing to Olna but also wondered if she'd be hurt, recalling how she had cried once before him. Feena had cried that day too. No matter how much he hugged her or apologized she didn't stop, and he cursed himself for not thinking of her as his sister.
He lamented to inform Olna there were no signs of "Argonaut" returning. He thought the memories and personality of Argonaut had been the price he paid in exchange for his power of lightning allowing him to survive his encounter with a lion. Therefore he concluded what remained wasn't a vestige of that man but his true self. But while he no longer was Argonaut he was also convinced he didn't have to be his former self.
Nonetheless he stated he would continue to smile, as he believed a smile contributed towards a brighter future, and asked Olna to smile too. He still intended to help others and swore to do so by the name she had given him, signing off as such, "Navis the Guide".
