Natalinoe Cladfield (ナタリノーエ・クラッドフィールド), nicknamed Nano, is a student of the School District and a member of the 7th Squad of the Baldr Class.
Appearance[]
Natalinoe is smaller than Lefiya and gives off a childish impression. She has pink eyes and fluffy pinkish blonde hair. She wears the School District uniform and over it she dons a hooded robe and wields a long staff when in combat.
Personality[]
Natalinoe is shown to be a kind person and quickly accepted Lefiya as their instructor when first introduced. She is also seen to show respect to her, already knowing Lefiya's reputation in the School District, and after seeing her impressive display of abilities in the Dungeon.
She is childhood friends with Luke Fowl and holds romantic feelings for him, even warning Lefiya at the start to not seduce him. Although she comes from a noble family, when Luke applied for the School District, she immediately chose to go with him, not even informing her family. It is noted by Lefiya that the fact that she made it to Level 3 like him, and as a mage, means that she must have followed him through many dangerous situations, due to his reckless nature, showing that she cares more about following and protecting Luke, rather than her own safety.
Her concern for Luke leads her to prioritize him over herself also in the romantic aspect. After seeing Luke's change of attitude towards Lefiya, Nano tearfully accused her of being a thieving cat, thinking he had fallen in love for her, but she would also have been angry if she didn't reciprocate his feelings.
After receiving Lefiya's lessons, she became more assertive. She is a selfless person who cares for others even if they are strangers. Despite the fact that she, Mililia and Cole were in a dire situation and were injured and tired, she refused to abandon a group of adventurers in trouble and decided to face a Goliath to save them.
Abilities[]
As a member of the 7th Squad, Natalinoe is one of the best students in the School District in terms of combat ability. At first, she was completely dependent upon Luke in all situations; however, after spending time under Lefiya's tutelage, she gained limited ability to help command from the back ranks. She also knows some self defense moves that she learned from Luke.
Enormous Physical Prowess: As a Level 3, Nano's physical abilities are all dramatically superior to those of a normal person. In terms of raw physical prowess, her abilities are also exponentially superior to those of any Level 2 or below.
Enormous Strength: Despite being a mage, Nano's strength as a Level 3 allows her to kill monsters from the Middle Floors.
Skilled Mage: Nano acts as a mage in the rear and her magic is so powerful that it is like an extra-large artillery weapon. As a pure mage, her magic power is strong compared to Mililia's.
Enhanced Senses: After acquiring her falna, Nano's senses became much better than those of a normal person. Her senses further improved with each subsequent rank up.
Magic[]
Zarga Amalda (ザルガ・アマルダ): Zarga Amalda is a lightning element magic that fires ten thunderbolts which gather and overlap and then fall down on a wide area. It easily managed to destroy a small group of Ligerfangs without leaving a single trace. In 7th Squad's battle against a Goliath, it pushed the Floor Boss' legs off the ground and sent it flying backwards.
Zarga Yale (ザルガ・イェール): Zarga Yale creates a magic circle over Nano's head that fires thunderbolts. In 7th Squad's battle on the 17th Floor it was powerful enough to damage the Floor Boss Goliath along with defeating other monsters near it.
Development Abilities[]
Mage (魔導): Mage improves the power of Nano's magic, widens effect range, and makes mind usage efficient. It also creates a magenta colored magic circle under her when she uses magic. The ability grants her a magic stat equivalent to that of a Level 4.
Equipment[]
Magic Star Hammer (マジック・スターハンマー): A staff made from Saint Iron by the School District's Alchemy Department. Nano also carries a fist-sized iron ball attached to a chain that she can connect to her staff to turn it into a flail-type morning star. The mace can absorb magic power to turn the iron ball into a head-sized ball of light and create countless spikes of magical power.
