Parental Qualities (親の素質) is a special short story given to those who purchased volume 9 of Sword Oratoria in Toranoana.
Summary[]
One evening when Loki, Riveria and Gareth happened to meet by chance, they took the opportunity to chat quietly. Aware that Riveria had recently been reminiscing about when Ais was a little girl, Loki and Gareth decided to talk about it.
The Goddess commented that she must be lonely since the girl was no longer under her care, an accusation that Riveria denied and called foolish. Gareth for his part said she would probably be lonely and not say a word when Ais found a partner and "left the nest". Loki was initially upset, proclaiming that she would never give Ais to anyone, but after that she joined in on the mockery.
She commented that Riveria seemed to be the strict type who would say things like "I will not give my daughter to someone like you". Riveria responded sharply and in a completely different tone that of course that would be the case. The High Elf insisted that her partner had to be carefully selected. She stated he must have a minimum of intelligence and more than anything a good personality. She also found it necessary for him to be just as strong as Ais so that he could by her side. She was willing to turn a blind eye to race, and would even accept a Dwarf if she truly loved him, although she was adamantly opposed to him being a God.
As Riveria continued to speak passionately about Ais, the other two ended up with their gazes lost in the distance. Loki thought that she possessed the qualities of not only a mother but a father as well, and Gareth that Elves really were annoying.
