Those of a Demi Human race must mate with others of the same race to give birth to children. The only exceptions to this are Humans and Amazonesses, who can bear children with any race. Elves have low birthrates compared to the other races due to their long lifespans.
Boaz, Bulls, Cat People, Chienthropes, Hume Bunnies, Raccoons, Renards, Sheep, Weretigers, and Werewolves are collectively known as Beast Humans (獣人). They all posses heightened sense compared to the rest of the races.
Amazoness[]
Amazonesses (アマゾネス) are a Demi Human race of dark skinned women. Since they only give birth to Amazonesses, they have to leave their villages to find men. Due to their instinct to breed strong descendants, they desire to breed with a man they deem strong and so have the tendency to fall in love with males that defeated them. However, they won't fall for just any man that proves stronger than them, as they also each have a type. If a man is not her type, an Amazoness won't fall in love regardless of how strong he may be. They also have their own language that is different from Koine, the common dialect.
Bulls (牛人) are a race of Demi Humans that have cow ears and horns. When the race first appeared in DanMachi Orario Rhapsodia it was called Cows (牛人), but the term was changed later in DanMachi Volume 19 to Cows (女性の牛人), now refering specifically to the female members of the race.
Creatures (怪人) are individuals who were turned into person and monster hybrids by the Demi Spirit. Like monsters, they possess a magic stone and can consume those of others to become stronger. They also have an incredible healing factor and the ability to control the monsters created by the Demi Spirit.
Dark Elves (黒妖精) are a race similar to Elves, although with different magic, magical power, and skin color. They are rare in the current era due a great part of their population being killed by monsters during the Ancient Times.
Dark High Elves (黒のハイエルフ) are members of Dark Elven royalty. Despite the death of a great part of Dark Elves, it is said that their lineage managed to continue.
Dwarf[]
Dwarves (ドワーフ) are a Demi Human race of short people, though there can be exceptions, such as Mia Grand. They have considerable strength and can defeat weak monsters without a falna. They are also known for their aptitude for tasks that involve earth and rocks, like mining and construction.
White Elves (白妖精) are a Demi Human race of highly intelligent beings who excel at magic and live in forests. They have long, pointy ears and are naturally attractive in appearance. However, they are quite reserved by nature, causing them to abhor physical contact with people from other races. White Elves are extremely prideful and tend to look down upon other races, especially Dwarves due to their innate enmity. Due to how rare Dark Elves are in the current era, they are the most common ones between the two and are usually called just Elves (エルフ).
Gods (神) are the leaders of Familia and came down to the lower world starting 1000 years ago. They have a human appearance. Like Spirits, Gods can't have children. Gods that have been mentioned but have yet to make an appearance include Hera, Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Poseidon, Odin, Aphrodite, Sekhmet and Thor. If a God is mortally wounded their Arcanum will activate to save them. However, as its use is prohibited in the Lower World, they will be forcefully sent back to Heaven.
Pallums (小人族) are a Demi Human race of small people. Like Humans, they are generally said to be the weakest race, but they have excellent sight that allows them to see in the dark. They were originally called Hobbits (ホビット) until DanMachi Volume 2 after which it was changed possibly due to copyright issues.
Renards (狐人) are a Demi Human race that have fox ears and a tail. They are the only ones among Beast Humans who possess an innate magic aptitude, and are known for possessing rare magic.
Spirits (精霊) are said to be the children the Gods loved the most and are even called part god. They are strong magic users and can even use magic better than Elves. Like Gods, Spirits can't have children. There are different types of Spirits depending on the magic element they wield, such as Salamander (火精霊), Fire Spirits; Undine (水精霊), Water Spirits; Gnome (地精霊), Earth Spirits; Tonitrus (雷精霊), Lightning Spirits; Lux (光精霊), Light Spirits; and Shade (闇精霊), Darkness Spirits. Spirits can also make special items imbued with magic properties such as Salamander Wool and Undine Cloth. During the Era of Heroes, Spirits helped heroes fight monsters, though some died.
The Xenos (異端児) are monsters that have intelligence. They are much more intelligent than other monsters and some can speak the Human language. They search for their comrades in the unexplored portions of the Dungeon. All Xenos have a strong longing for the surface and someday desire to reach the surface. Also, see Xenos.
