Scene of the Xenos (異端児達の一幕) is a special short story given to those who purchased volume 10 of DanMachi in Toranoana.
The story was later adapted in Memoria Freese to promote the fourth episode of the third season of the anime.
Summary[]
In the Hidden Village of the Xenos on the 20th Floor, Wiene had been crying ever since she was separated from Bell and the rest of the Hestia Familia, leaving the other Xenos at a loss about what to do. They needed to move to the village on the Lower Floors, but no one knew what to do with the dragon girl since it was the first time something like this had happened.
Ranye proclaimed she discipline her but was stopped by Lyd, who scolded her for trying to "baptize" a new member again. Ray reminded Wiene that Bell had promised that they would meet again, her gentle words causing her to stop crying for a moment.
However, Gros stated that adventurers were fools blinded by greed, which led to them dying young, so she should not get her hopes up. His cruel words made Wiene burst into tears once more and earned him a torrent of insults from his companions.
Not knowing what else to do the group turned to Fear, who took Arles and gave her to Wiene, pointing out that she looked like Bell. Wiene then hugged the shocked and reluctant Almiraj like a stuffed animal and finally stopped crying. Seeing this, all the Xenos were content with that.
In response to Arles' protests, she and Wiene were assigned to separate groups to go to the next village.
