Summary[]
While fighting Bache, Tiona told her she had been happy when she had read to her but her former mentor replied it had been just a whim. After that Bache was able to graze her hand with her Velgus. Kali was surprised her arm didn't fall off concluding she must have acquired the Abnormal Resistance development ability. Still, she told her the monsters' poison didn't compare to Bache's. Tiona confirmed this but since only her right hand had the poison she held it with her left hand and hit Bache with her right hand. However, she was surprised to see her right hand also hurt to which Kali revealed that when she had reached Level 6 Bache's magic had increased in power and range after which Bache proceeded to spread it throughout her entire body.
Bache revealed she had trained her for that moment because she knew she would become strong, allowing her to become stronger when she killed her. She also told her she had never seen Argana as her sister, calling her a monster, and had gotten stronger to not be eaten by her.
Thanks to her fight with Tiona Tione had coordinated her body and senses, allowing her to better fight against Argana. After hitting her, Argana approached her and bit her, drinking her blood in the process. Tione noted she had gotten stronger asking if it was because she had drunk her blood which Argana confirmed revealing it was because of her curse, Kalima. She explained it increased her power based on how much blood from a person with falna she drank and, as a cost, it drastically lowered her endurance stat. She also told her she did not feel lonely by killing her own, pointing out that by killing them she had increased her strength while at the same time they had become part of her when they died, remakring that was why she would devour her blood and flesh as well. She commented that despite not having become a warrior she had become stronger than when Tiona protected her. Tione did not understand what she meant to which Argana revealed that Tiona had always offered to take her place in the rituals, killing all of her friends after her fight with Seldas. She added that if Bache lost then it would be her turn to kill Tiona which made Tione furious.
Kali was surprised to see Tiona get up and Bache pointed out she still had the upper hand to which Tiona smiled saying it didn't hurt at all and she wouldn't lose. Kali laughed at her as Bache pointed out that her magic wasn't something she could deal with using willpower alone. Tiona agreed but said she still wouldn't stop smiling no matter what. At the same time Bache noticed her breath was red. Afterwards, she noticed the steam was actually emanating from her entire body, which was due to her Berserk skill, which was starting to take effect along with her other skill, Intense Heat.
After hearing Argana's words Tione began to curse Tiona stating she would hit her when they met and she would not allow Argana to touch her. As she spoke, smoke began to emanate from her body indicating that her Berserk and Backdraft skills were activating.
Elsewhere, a person went to a cave where there were cages with Violas inside. As he watched them, Loki appeared behind the person, telling him that it was time to end this.
