Nightmare (
Summary[]
Having noted that the sphere Valletta had was the key to unlocking the gates of Orichalcum, Finn ordered the others to follow her even though it could be a trap. Lefiya decided to take care of the Violas and along with Filvis, who used Dio Grail to protect her, she finished them off using Arcs Ray. As they advanced, a group of new spider monsters started to come out of the traps causing Bete to lead the attack against them.
At that moment Finn's thumb began to hurt and he noticed the monsters had opened a path to let someone pass, who turned out to be Revis. She charged at him making Finn realize her power had greatly increased. He considered using Hell Finegas but fretted at the thought of what would happen to the others if they lost their commander. Revis took advantage of this moment of hesitation to cut him, leaving Finn with a severe wound in the chest.
The shock of seeing Finn injured left everyone stunned and immobile except for Raul who rushed to rescue Finn and fled along with others through the traps the monsters had come through. Once they left Valletta started laughing at Finn while Revis pointed out she was going to take care of "Aria" and told her she was leaving Finn, to which Valletta agreed. Bete tried to attack her but she closed the door on him. Bete had to give up on her as more Violas arrived. Separated from the others, Lefiya and Filvis stayed with the two women. Seeing this, Valletta left but not before telling Revis to take care of them, however, she ignored them and left without paying attention to them. Lefiya tried to go help the others but Filvis calmed her down after which they decided to find a way out.
Elsewhere, Gareth's party reached a large room where Barca stood, whom they quickly identified as the man Njord had told them about. Barca was annoyed at their presence, lamenting it was all a waste of time, and began muttering to himself, ignoring them. Gareth wondered if he was really going to face them alone since he didn't see any people, monsters or traps. Barca introduced himself and mentioned he was the one in charge of sending them into the abyss of darkness. It was then that Gareth realized there was a jewel similar to those of the doors on the ground and ordered the others to move, however, at that moment Barca activated the trap causing the ground to open and everyone fell. Gareth used his ax as a platform for Ais to help her escape. Nevertheless, she was unable to catch Barca, who upon seeing this closed the door in front of him to prevent her from following him.
