Extra (端役(エキストラ)) is the sixty third chapter of the Sword Oratoria manga.

Summary[]

Having fled Valletta Raul's group tried to heal Finn's wound, however it would not heal no matter how many potions they used on it. Realizing it was a curse, Aki pointed out that the wound would not heal until the curse was broken. As they thought about their current situation, they heard Valletta scream showing she was getting closer, so they had no choice but to keep running.

In the underground canals, seven hours had passed since the research group had entered Knossos so Loki asked Riveria what she thought had happened to which she pointed out they must have fallen into a trap. Loki wondered if she couldn't use magic to which Riveria broke the ground, realizing it was made of Obsidian Soldier Body Stone, a drop item that decreased the effectiveness of magic, concluding there was no way she could opened a hole in the labyrinth, adding it was an impenetrable fortress. Despite this, Loki did not give up and asked her if she had a radar function on her magic circle. Riveria explained she could discern what was within the confines of her magic circle if she used Rea Laevateinn. Loki ordered her to use it and Alicia to hurry up and make a map.

Barca informed Thanatos of the Loki Familia's current location to which the God thanked him as well as asking him to take care of them. Moments later, Dix arrived, mentioning that Knossos was louder than usual, causing Barca to explain they had let the Loki Familia in and showed him footage of them. Taking advantage of him being there, he ordered Dix to help them since Bete, Lefiya and Filvis had not fallen on the trap. He initially refused but agreed when Barca pointed out that his monster smuggling would be in danger if they were discovered. Having no other choice, Dix accepted his request, took a spear and headed to face the Loki Familia.

After taking care of some Violas Gareth realized that he was alone with Narvi, Nick, and Stark to which Nick pointed out that during the fall they had been separated from the others as well as apologizing to Gareth for having lost his ax. He said it was fine since it had been used to help others. Elsewhere, Line, Ruuni, Liza, Kalos, Lloyd, and Anju huddled together after using Gareth's ax and Nick's rope to climb down, noting that others had clung to the crack left after they climbed down, and decided they should meet the others. At the same time a group of monsters arrived at Gareth's group accompanied by members of Evilus who attacked them using suicide attacks. As they fled Narvi noticed the corridor was full of Kaensekis which began to explode when a member of Evilus committed suicide, causing a chain reaction. The group ran as fast as they could to escape but were trapped when the door in front of them closed.

Elsewhere, Tiona, Tione, Cruz, Elfy, Orba, Cynthia, and Arcs were fighting a group of monsters until they were separated. Tione, Cruz, and Orba were attacked by a group of assassins who used cursed whips and anti-status effects to pin Tione down and weaken her. Meanwhile, Tiona, Elfy, Cynthia, and Arcs were attacked by a group of Poison Vermis, getting caught between a door and a large wave of poison from the monsters.

After being attacked by Valletta, Bete faced a group of monsters along with five others who had stayed with him. While they were at it, Dix, disguised as a member of Evilus, appeared in front of them and used his Phobetor Daedalus curse, affecting everyone except Bete, who had dodged in time, and Rakta, who Bete had saved. They both watched as their companions along with the monsters began to fight each other, making Bete realize it was a confusion curse. Dix started taunting Bete asking him if he could stop them, pointing out that if he didn't do it soon, his teammates would kill each other.
