The Goddess' Shock

The Goddess's Shock (女神の衝撃) is a special story included in the DanMachi Volume 12 leaflet. The story was later adapted in Memoria Freese to promote Season 4 Episode 1.

Summary[]

Following Bell's level up from fighting the Xenos warrior, Asterius, Hestia announced Bell's new skill, Ox Slayer, to the rest of the Hestia Familia in the living room. Haruhime admired that Bell had a third skill, Mikoto was impressed with Bell's overall status as it was suited for an adventurer, and Welf was impressed that Bell got a new skill along with his level up.

After Hestia noted that the skill was very situational in use, she, Welf, and Mikoto, joked about Bell's "luck" with Minotaur monsters. Haruhime then began to mutter the names of Bell's skills in a serious voice. After Hestia checked on her, Haruhime began to share what she realized, hesitantly. Quickly, Lili realized the same thing and muttered that none of Bell's skills were related to Hestia. As the Familia froze in shock at the revelation, Hestia was particularly shocked. Realizing that Bell has gained skills after his encounters with Ais and Asterius, but not with her, Hestia charged out of the room, while Welf and Mikoto held in their laughter. Afterwards, Bell's shout from being tackled by the Goddess could be heard.
