Van (ヴァン) is a member of the Freya Familia.
Appearance[]
Van has navy blue hair and navy blue eyes. As a Half Pallum he is too tall for a Pallum but too short for a Human. He has cute facial features and looks like he could be either male or female.
As a member of the Freya Familia he wears the uniform of the faction. However, since he is Level 4 he was allowed to customize it. His outfit is mostly black, as opposed to the usual white, while the parts that are usually lilac are white on his outfit. He carries his twin swords one on each side of his waist.
Personality[]
Van is shown to have a deep devotion to Freya and faithfully carries out any orders from his Goddess. Consequently he is jealous of Bell. After training with him Van has grown to respect his abilities and even gave Bell some advice on his techniques. Nonetheless, he made it clear to the boy that he still despises him. During the Great Faction War Van cursed him for using the advice he had given him in his battle with Ottar. However, he also had a smile on his face as he did so.
Abilities[]
Amazing Physical Prowess: As a Level 4, Van's physical abilities are all dramatically superior to those of a normal person. In terms of raw physical prowess, his abilities are also exponentially superior to those of any Level 3 or below.
Amazing Strength: Van left a high Level 4 Bell's hand numb from the force of a single attack of his the young adventurer blocked in their first confrontation.
Amazing Speed, Agility and Reflexes: Van was able to react to and block a sudden and unexpected attack from Ais, although he barely managed to do it. In his first duel with a high Level 4 Bell, his relentless assault forced the young adventurer to concentrate on him to avoid being hurt.
Amazing Durability: Van withstood taking a Firebolt from a high Level 4 Bell, although he ended up considerably burned and injured by the magic.
Amazing Endurance and Stamina: Due to his familia's multiple daily duels to the death, Van has grown accustomed to fighting while heavily injured, as well as developed large reserves of stamina. Although his chest and stomach were burned by Bell's Firebolt in the first fight, he quickly resumed his assault.
Skilled Fighter: Van has proven to be a skilled combatant with a greater amount of experience and variety of techniques than Bell in their first battle. As an experienced warrior he was also able to notice a mistake Bell made in combat as well as give him advice on how to correct it or use it to his advantage. Thanks to his superior skill as a warrior he was even able to win against Bell a few times in their duels, although Bell was also severely emotionally affected at the time.
Enhanced Senses: After acquiring his falna, Van's senses became much better than those of a normal person. His senses further improved with each subsequent rank up.

- Van's name is based on the Vanir, one of the two groups of gods and the one the Goddess Freya was part of in Norse mythology.
